of course we are still in the series and have a chance to win it.

did people forget that KG and company needed 7 games in two of their series in 2008?  The other two series weren't blowouts either at 4-2.

Any team that wins the NBA title has had to go through a gauntlet of great teams and overcome adversity.  That stuff is what defines a champion.
Lets give our guys a chance to redeem themselves for 1 poor 4th quarter.  We are overall the better team, we just need to play smarter and execute when things get really tough.  I know we have that in us.  We saw it in the Bucks and Heat series.

Well, if we were told in Dec that we'd be 2-2 in The Finals with Golden State, We all would have taken it and been happy as crap.
C's in 6

Now add to that story about why we're 2-2 and you might not get as positive a response

I mean, we're in the Finals against an all-time great in Curry. Being upset that we're not up 3-1 vs 2-2 is being spoiled.

I felt going in to this series these are two evenly matched teams. Now after 4 games I feel we've got more talent and athleticism and should be able to pull this out with our slight advantage, but we're not playing against a mediocre team here with a subpar star. Golden State are multiple time former champs with an all-time great looking to cement his legacy. It's not supposed to be easy.

The frustrating thing isn't thr loss, I expected some against a good team like GS. What is sucking the enjoyment out is how they lose.

For.me personally, the loses are maddening and the wins are dampened because you know the odds of then getting sloppy and losing the next are high.

I know. Unfortunately that is an inherent part of our team. We can't really say they are clearly the better team because they've established that this is part of their identity. The core of Tatum, Brown and Smart has been that way for many years now. They try hard, and Ime has helped them fix some mental errors, but they revert to it by nature. They are just not very intelligent when it comes to basketball. Surrounding them with guys with high basketball IQ like White, Horford and Grant Williams has helped, but it will always be part of their makeup.

I wish we can sweep teams in the NBA Finals like how the Warriors or Spurs did lol

The Celtics better be running layup and FT drills ALL weekend

They'll defy your orders and instead practice on shooting 100 three's and making maybe 95% of them, some 33 feet away. And then come game time they start bricking and clanking  :'(

Half court shots. That's what they'll be working on from now until tipoff on Monday  ;D

The way I'm looking at it is, the Celtics will host Game 6 with either a chance at winning it all, or a chance to force a Game 7 in this series. Yes there's only 3 games left but there's also still plenty of basketball to be played, and no one can get eliminated until this upcoming Thursday at the earliest.

The C's really just need to buckle down and stop with the silly turnovers. Even with Curry scoring 43 and being fantastic, the game was absolutely winnable late if we just cut down on the turnovers a bit or just got a few buckets late.

Also an underrated part of the game was we got outrebounded by 13. Really need others to step up there too, Timelord can't grab them all lol

Yeah Idk what's up with Al Horford. He should be helping out with the boards too. Why are these smaller-sized opposing players able to grab boards with ease while we have the size advantage...mind-boggling.

Deploy the LeBron strategy on them...neutralize their other players and dare Curry to kill us with his shots. Control the TOVs, grab boards, attack the rim and C's win games.

Part of the reason is because when Golden State jacks up long 3s, if they miss they can bounce off the rim and basically fly towards the perimeter or outside the paint so it's fair game for everyone, not just the centers. But yeah, Horford needs to do more on that end still. I mean we see guys like Wiggins and Poole fly in and grab rebounds. The last thing you want to do is give them extra possessions off that. We did exceptional on that end in Game 3 but it was the complete opposite in Game 4.

I agree with this strategy.  They gave up rebounding position a lot when they went to double or help out someone who was in a pretty good defensive position.  Curry is a great player but he still "only" hit 14 of 26 shots.  If you factor in them getting offensive rebounds on several of those misses, that's a huge difference.  No second chances!  No turnover!  Victory.

Rob was helping a lot this game, and if he helps that means he isn't in the position to rebound. The other guys have to do their part.

I basically feel the same way I felt at the beginning of the series. Scared but optimistic? Something like that.

If they were going to win in 6, GS was going to win 2 so in that respect everything is going according to plan.

Would've been really nice to get game 4 but there's no reason the C's can't win the next two. Just take care of the ball and the boards. It always comes down to the basics.

Couldn't agree more.  Love their determination, skills, and want-to, but they are truly lacking in the savvy department.

In the last five minutes of the game they shot what, seven three-pointers?  I think there was only one two-point attempt.  Everyone was trying to play hero ball.  The best play was the Tatum drive-and-kick to Horford for three-- not just because he made it, but because it had GS on their heels and it was good ball movement.

Why with 5:00 left do we resort to just iso ball in the halfcourt?  (unless we get a steal and are on a fast break)

It's just maddening.
