Warriors push the envelope on hand contact

Maybe it was me, sure looked like the refs let the Warriors have their way with hand checking, slapping  and bumping. Almost nothing was called against the Warriors throughout the game. Very frustrating. If the refs call the game that way again, then the Celtics should react with their own hand checking and bumping.

The refs also lacked the courage to call two technical fouls that may have affected the game results. 

On offense the C's need to set some picks for Al to shoot from 3 too.

I'm still on board with experimenting with Aaron playing with the starting unit. He's quick and doesn't give the Warriors time to slap the ball away when he goes to the hoop. He also needs to move more, set picks and get baskets closer to the hoop - forget the 3 pointer. (I know I'm the only one in this group that feels that way. I'm a rebel. : )

Nesmith is not the answer
He might be quick but if you can’t shoot in this League your toast

Like I’ve said, you need a legit Veteran point guard to clean up the mess and spell Smart when he has games like Game 2

I’m not sure the last time Nesmith even drew iron on a 3-point attempt.  I know one of his shots tonight missed by about 4 feet.  And don’t even get me started about the last time he stayed on the floor when witnessing an upfake.

I see someone say “play Aaron Nesmith” and I can’t read anything else, because their credibility is impeached.  I hope the dude figures it out this summer, but three wins from a title is not the time to try to get a head start on things.

I'm still cautiously optimistic (I mean, come on, people were bagging on Brown, TimeLord and Grant and now they're key pieces to a Finals team), but Nesmith is still so far away from being a rotation player.

If we see him playing meaningful minutes when the game is on the line then either someone is injured or Ime is panicking.

Warriors pushed, grabbed, held all night. Green’s uncalled BS set the tone. Celtics on the other hand were called for everything and got no calls.

This led to the rash of turnovers. I’ve watched Celtics basketball since 1981 and last night was the most ridiculous officiating since the bad boy pistons.

Sad thing is we all saw it coming with the ref assigned to it.

Last nights game was a joke. Don't get me wrong I feel the Celtics would have lost no matter what but what Draymond was able to get away with was an absolute joke.

He should have been ejected in the second quarter, but because he already had a technical he was allocated more leniency? The issuance of a technical should not be subjective whether or not a player has one already. If a player commits an act that merits a technical then a technical should be issued irregardless of the implications.

The refs killed all momentum we had - Jaylen was red hot and the refs essentially take him out of the game on a BS call on Payton. We had a fast break and the whistle gets blown for a technical that eventually gets overturned?

Again, we would have lost either way but the refs took us out of that game unjustly and in the NBA finals - in front of a world wide audience, it's an absolute travesty.

Wow - I was with you until that last paragraph.

Nesmith is just not the answer to anything, unless you need someone to come in and foul so the other guys don't get in foul trouble.  As soon as you see him in the game (ahead or behind), you know the game is already over.

Honestly I'm surprised Ime didnt challenge the Jaylen foul on Payton - solely based on the fact that Jaylen couldn't miss and knowing he'd have to sit him for a prolonged amount of time seeing it was his second foul so early in the game. The call would have had to been overturned upon review, and in that case don't we get our challenge back?

I dont agree with saving challenges, who knows if you'll have a better opportunity to use it.

we werent winning that game even if we played well. It was pretty obvious the league gave an edict to make sure celtics dont go up 2-0. brown is red-hot then gets his 2nd on a phantom call and has to come out...

I mean Green was literally pushing guys out the way like a linebacker with no call. and Celtics were getting touch fouls. I'd love to see some of those "strips" in the lane against tatum. it totally changes the game if one team is allowed to play physical and the other one isnt. Green was gloating after the game about how he gets "defferential treatment" from the refs that allows him to play that way.

if anything Green should be on a short leash after his first tech. it shouldnt be get your first tech then do whatever you want.

that doesnt excuse the no-shows by everyone but tatum.

now, watch the game called more evenly in boston game 3. then game 4 will be a bloodbath refs wise.

To place any blame on the refs for last night's loss, is ridiculous. Not only couldn't the Celtics not make a shot, but they were blatantly throwing passes directly to the Warriors players. I swear, most of the bad passes never had a chance.

BTW, how can 3 starters only have 2 points each. How is that possible?

I think it wasn’t challenged because they probably didn’t have a good enough angle to be sure that Jaylen didn’t brush his jersey enough for the refs to keep the call.

The play that bothered me more was Draymond bulldozing Grant Williams in which Grant got called for a foul.  Green did get a tech afterwards for his actions on the inbound, but he uprooted him and threw Grant down during the play.  Not sure how that wasn’t a flagrant, and, it should be noted, Green will be suspended on his next flagrant foul.
