Obviously the C's killed themselves with the turnovers and terrible 3rd, but I still maintain the game was pretty much rigged as well. No way the league wants this series to end in less than 6 games and they did everything in the 1st half to keep it close. Then the C's basically screwed themselves in the 3rd and that was that. Wouldn't be surprised to see them let both teams play in Game 3 and then pull off similar antics for Game 4 for the team trailing 2-1.

Draymond might be a total butt nugget, but he was spot on with assessment after Game 1.  14 of 23 on 3’s from Horford, Smart and White would be hard to replicate.  Just didn’t figure on a complete no show from Al and Marcus.

Take the split and head home!

Nothing less than 60% shooting would overcome the crime.duo reffing tonight.

I mean we saw white get intentionally tripped with no call and Javie admit the refs don't call it straight.

What more do we need ?

yeah, that admission was astonishing. you’re not supposed to state the secret stuff out loud.
All my friends and family are saying the same thing. How can a former ref and league reffing official come out and say, yeah, the refs should consider if someone already has a tech and possibly no call the incident on purpose to keep the player in the game. You basically give a guy like Green carte blanche to be as dirty as he wants because the refs are going to purposely keep him in the game.

It's a stunning public admission and damaging to the NBA as a whole. It admits what so many have been claiming for decades. Favoritism toward certain players and that refs will attempt bending and ignoring the rules to "game" the possible outcome of a game

Because, who knows what type of a game this is if GSW loses Dray that early in the game. A completely different outcome is quite possible if the Dubs think their heart and soul guy is gone and Boston is ahead.

It was pretty obvious Mark Jackson disagreed strongly and then Can Gundy goes on a rant about it being the right call but then his argument agrees with what Jackson felt, that what Steve Javie was shockingly wrong in every way.

Have we seen the "Javie doesn't represent the NBA or the league's position" press release yet?

Mike

My guess is Scott foster incoming game 3

I’m still baffled that why they just don’t get the correlation between turnovers and poor third quarters. It’s the only thing that has cost them games in the this playoffs. Every loss can be traced back to these two issues.

I actually think Foster goes Game 4 and helps the team trailing 2-1 to EXTEND the series lol

game 3 will be called evenly and celtics will win.

game 4 will be a bloodbath against the celtics to try and make sure they dont go up 3-1. i'm calling it now. I called every game the last two series like this.

league wants a 6-7 game series.

I think once the game got out of hand, the officials just wanted to end it, so they didn't call very much.  Just hoping no one gets hurt and get the game over with.

Golden State outscored Boston 33-8 off turnovers. Not good. But it also highlights that even with 12 turnovers from GSW, Boston only scored 8 off of them. I think a large part of that is because we'd follow it up with a bad turnover ourselves or a low-IQ shot. Not really aggressive inside and settling.

this.

Boston played like crap after the second Jaylen foul and just had no clue on offense.  didn't make GSW pay for their turnovers nor played anything close to an intelligent offensive scheme.  so many stupid mistakes that these same players make over and over again.

The game and series is over.  I'd be pretty surprised if Boston doesn't win this with how this started.  Turnovers kept the Warriors in the game, I'd really like to think that is reduced in the 2nd half.

God this is impressive. I love, love, love your posting.

Different regime and situation and all, but I'd be p---ed as Suns fan hearing that the league doesn't have to go by the letter of the law. Just adds more salt to the '07 Stoudemire suspension.

But it’s also fair to point out that only twice in 75 years has a team won the first two games of an NBA Finals on the road.

Clean up the turnovers and win game 3.

Now we're talking. It's tough to look at ourselves and make changes, and much easier to blame things on the mean refs. I have to think Udoka is not letting his team take the easy route.

We lost the game last night. And yea refs contributed to it but we’re not the primary reason. We would’ve lost if it was fairly officiated.

I just want to say that when a game as important as last nights is officiated as bad as it was (I mean I would argue and I’ve been a fan of the NBA for 43 years that last night was the worse NBA championship game ever in terms of officiating) it makes the modern day game so unwatchable.

Reversing a Technical?? I mean get the f*** outta here.

Maybe they still lose, or maybe they build up a lead to give them a cushion against the GS 3rd qtr run? Maybe they don't press has hard trying to beat the refs and the team in front of them.

A lot of badly reffed games can be won, some can't no matter what you do.
