Head Coach along with Marcus "3-point" Smart and dribble-turnover Tatum and Brown tried as hard as they could to lose this game.
Red must have reached down to bother Butler on that last attempt.

Hey, I am very happy and all, but the Celts got away with a lot of stupid basketball tonite.
Because we're a good, resilient team. Teams don't fluke their way to the Finals

C'mon Gouki, we have a 13-point lead with 3&1/2 minutes left and end up allowing it to come down to a Jimmy Butler miss to avoid a historic meltdown. You crawl Ime's ass constantly for his bad coaching, so we won despite ourselves.

And yes, we won because of our resiliency, but to win a title, we are going to need to improve those weak areas significantly, starting with our incompetent head coach, down to our self-destructive point guard.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

I'm most happy for Horford. Given where he was last season in OKC to finally be getting a chance to play in a Finals is pretty cool. He's a true Celtic.

Marcus should drive and shoot a floater or look for a shooter in future in similar situations.

Lucky escape.

Wow, so good to be back in finals, but we are going to need to tune up our offense if we wanna win.

Honestly, the 3 misses from long were really difficult to watch.  Had he hit one, which frankly he often does wide open in the 4th, it was game.  But he missed and would have been the cause if C's had lost.  Clutch FTs though.

Really glad for the extra day of rest between each game in the Finals. This team will need that.   Is Rob not healthy or has he been overwhelmed by the intensity of the moment?  Rest big guy - C's need the real Rob in the next series.  If he is the difference maker he can be, C's have a decent chance.

somebody else has to shoot those moving forward

PP woulda hit daggers and put the heat away

i have no doubt
as well as brown or JT
LET'S GO CELTICS!

We were the better team almost the whole game and somehow we only won by 4. Incredible

And prior to that we had forced Miami into missing 8 or 9 field goals in a row! It was a reversion to the mean.

I get on Ime for sure, but a rookie coach who gets a team to the Finals (after being the 11 seed at one point) is far from incompetent. Smart also was huge in the 3rd quarter for us.

The refs were pretty bad in this game for sure. I mean those 2 back to back Lowry calls and those ridiculous offensive fouls they kept calling. We beat all 8 of the players and refs!!!

not a fan of Tatum wearing the Kobe arm band.  needs to learn what franchise he plays for
Would it be different if the arm band was black and not purple?
should have been Celtic Green and had any number of one of the greats we lost this season.  I know he did it for motivation but can't imagine it would have been well received in the Garden.   new generation I guess that follows the individual rather than the franchise

We beat the two best players left in the playoffs in Giannis and Butler.  I mean Butler was having a monster playoff run except for those two bad games he had against us.  No disrespect to Curry, but he is much more guardable than Giannis and Butler.  Same thing with Klay.

This is our year.  Take care of the ball and we can win it all.
