Maybe I'm sounding harsh but if we weren't going to make the Finals, I wish Milwaukee took us out. Hate the thought of Miami knocking us out for the 2nd time in 3 years especially when this C's team is more talented yet it may not matter because of how dumb they've played

Butler's great, but how are we letting him torch us? Giannis, KD, Kyrie, etc. were better and we managed to beat them and their teams still.

In a game you needed to win, the player with the most shots…..Smart. They deserve to lose based off that alone. Tatum only 12 shots. Cs will never win anything with Smart on this team.

 ::)

Yeah, let's not put anything on our superstar Tatum only getting 12 shots himself or turning the ball over 7 times. Or let's not forget about JB who essentially handed the game to Miami by choking two go-ahead free throws, and even Al was pretty much non-existent all night.

Lots of players had bad games. Celtics are not in this position without Smart's contributions all year long and his leadership.
It's silly trying to attribute blame to singular players. The coaches completely and utterly failed to put us in a position to succeed. We didn't ride Tatum, Brown or White adequately when they were cooking. We left Smart on Butler despite it being a horrible match-up. We allowed Smart to go full shooting villain. We didn't pull Horford despite rubbish play all around.

Heat shot 43% from three. That’s the difference

We made them too comfortable though. Didn't have that killer edge, that means everything in a game of inches

we started this game all wrong with too much dribbling and turnovers....we deserved to lose.

Smart was bad tonight. He slipped back into old habits. That possession where he just held the ball for the 20 seconds and then chucked up a bad 3 epitomized this game for him. He's so important to this team. He can turn it around, though.

No one off the bench turned the ball over.

The C's must be the only team out there that can have so much momentum heading into a home game and still come out very flat. I mean even in Miami's two home losses, they actually started well but then were overwhelmed late. It's just astonishing to me

I agree. I don’t get it. He has so much comfort in the lane while Tatum and Brown get swallowed up and hammered. He should be on the ground every time he sets foot in the paint.

We've won without him.

Guaranteed blowout on Sunday for one team. I say it will be for the Celtics who will shock the world once again. It is never easy.

  • GOT IT!!!
This is the game that showed all. Even if they win on Sunday they just don’t understand how to play smart ball consistently. When you finally think you have a gauge on them they show you that nothing changed. They are tougher but never learn. They literally played from behind all game because of dumb basketball then by the 4th Q it didn’t matter because Miami already had enough confidence to win. Talent but no brains.

Ime really needs to get his head out of the sand. Hes worse than Brad with in game adjustments. You could tell in the first 5 minutes that smart didnt have it but he kept him on butler all game. And not playing pritchard is starting to p*** me off. We couldve used a couple 3s from him tonight, instead the only 3 he got was 3 minutes of playing time. And lets run some plays for the Jays, how many times did we just pound the air out of the ball instead of running a quick pick and roll or something with the Jay's
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

Yeah, I think we'll smash them in G7 for some reason

Foolish me thinking this was time Boston would exercise the ECF demons. Just set you up for heartbreak
