Congrats to the White family on their first child.  It's tough timing, but what can you do?

As I said in another thread I can't blame him.  Hate the timing but not the decision.

This topic scared me though.  Seeing he was out.  Thought it was Covid related and it was spreading through the lockeroom.

Solely an assumption but I think this guarantees Marcus availability for tonight. I feel like Derrick would have put the game first if Marcus was a no go.

Well he was on the Spurs 9 months ago, no way he thought he’d make it this far in the playoffs

Gotta give Hayward credit for staying in the bubble and missing the birth of his child. Circumstances were different - it was his 4th child and he would have had to be out several games, but it was still a big decision.

Congrats to Derrick and his family. Given his recent play, I don’t think we’ll miss him much, as long as Smart is a full go.

So even the silver lining of getting some rest won’t apply - among the most exhausting days of my life were birth of my children.  Ok not quite as tiring as for my wife, but long long days.
