Family first always.

(But only for the first, for the second you gotta play - we the fans demand our pound of flesh :police: )
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Glad it went well for the Cs and for the White family. Things couldn't have worked out better for both parties.

I don't have a strong opinion on the issue at all, but it does seem strange to me that regular dudes with regular jobs are trying to compare themselves to someone currently on a 4yr/$73M contract in the middle of critical time in their career. I think a lot of wives would probably sacrifice their husband being live in the delivery room (but still on Zoom or whatever) for $73M.

That's obviously not the trade-off b/c D White didn't lose $73M by not showing up for work.  Quite the opposite, Ime clearly stated they support players in such situations.

lol no. Just no. And its pathetic tbh. We are getting roasted in different forums of different teams because of this. Money is irrelevant. The fact that his employers are fine with it speaks volumes. Family comes first. If his wife dies, will you take responsibility? Can you say a championship is worth it? They do their jobs for their families, its comical that you should put it over your family, esp if you are being allowed by your boss in the first place.

Also people don't see the benefits. If a player is encouraged to be human rather than be a product, to prioritize family over job. Do you think it will turn off potential free agents? No, heck it would make them even a more attractive destination.

Dude, you think family becomes less important when you make more money?
