- Without Smart and Horford, we did better than the Heat in 3 of 4 quarters.

- We only need to win one of potentially four games in Miami. Think of all the series we’ve seen where the higher seed wins game one at home, and still loses the series.

- Nesmith actually looked decent at times. Perhaps he can be an NBA role player like Batman and Pritchard?

- Smart should be ready come game two. Had he played, there’s no way the third quarter is quite like that.

Other silver linings?

The bad news: Horford may be unvaccinated (this is the third time he’s gone into protocols…) and unavailable for the series?

Neither Tatum, nor Brown had good games. Smart and Horford were out. 4 starters either not playing or playing below their average playoff game.

Predicted us to win in 5, without expecting to miss Smart + Al. Might go to 6, but if we lose this series it will be an immense failure on our part.

I'm so absolutely sick of people talking about stuff they know 0 about. It's absolutely astounding.

We outplayed Miami for 75% of the game.

It’s impossible to play worse than we did in the third.

Yeah, worst quarter in memory. 22-2 run to open it is just inconceivable.

The only player that had a good game was Timelord. This was truly a game of two halves. C’s came out hot, Spolestra made halftime adjustments and Jimmy Butler too over.  Just got out worked and out coached.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Fact 1: Horford is in protocols for the THIRD time.

Fact 2: Horford has never stated he is vaccinated. “I am ready to go” in advance of a series in Toronto that never happened is something…

Everything else is speculation.

If this kind of garbage speculation (which is a funny term for you to fling at others) wasn't tiring enough in the lead-up to the playoffs...

He wouldn’t answer the question directly, but said, “ “I think with the Celtics, we made it clear we’re not going to discuss those things, and it’s a health matter, and we all respect everybody’s individual perspectives. That’s why I’m not going to get into it and talk about it. But I’m ready to go.”

I speculated that he MAY be unvaccinated. I did not say he is unvaccinated.

If he is unvaccinated, there is the possibility he will miss the series. That’s the only bad news after game one. But silver lining: unlike the last series, we do not need Al to win this series.
