In all the hustle and bustle, with the jacked up camera shift, did Portis actually travel? It looks like he may have taken multiple steps before shooting. Repeat the first five seconds of this video a number of times with your eyes fixated on Portis’ feet when the camera pans back out:

I, for one, am fairly confident that is a travel. Can anybody zoom in and put it in slow-mo?

What does the NBA do if it turns out to be an uncalled travel? To make up for it, they ought to start calling each and every one of the 10+ offensive fouls Giannis commits per game. Do that and we’ll easily win game 6, so we can get the game 7 shot at home we deserve.

Second question: Why does it feel like there’s a ref bias in favor of the team with the international superstar? 🧐

The NBA does nothing if it was a travel.

I can’t bear to watch a replay, but the travel that I thought happened at the end when watching it was Holiday after recovering the shot he blocked.  He never put the ball on the ground and had to have taken at least three steps before jumping and throwing it off Marcus.  He did at least one full pirouette.

But someone else will have to view it and tell me if I’m right.

That one is not a travel because in this replay he clearly dribbled once in bounds and then hit it off Smart. Smart should have went for a dunk instead.

Just a clutch play by Jrue. BUT it never should have happened because Portis traveled before the “go-ahead” bucket.

Not a travel because he didn’t have control of the ball

Bingo.

Whatever makes you think that the NBA would make up anything for any error? You mean compound an error by making another error to "make things square"? That sounds suspiciously like managing the game, which is exactly what we don't want the refs to do.

I'd rather they a) held the people responsible for the poor decision accountable; and b) worked out how to stop them making the errors next time. But of course that won't happen either
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I was stunned when they called the Giannis three step Euro.

No one in the building was going to be looking at anyone's feet in that moment.
