I mean I expected it to rear it’s head in the nets series then as well as they played wasn’t expecting it in this series but sure enough it showed up 

I mean, win this series and the choke label goes away.  And if we lose, it probably doesn't.

Look at the Toronto series from the bubble, which also contained some flukeish, uncharacteristic losses.  Do we fixate on those, or the fact that we won the series?

The C's played horribly after that game 3 collapse against Toronto. Weren't the same team. Stopped playing high IQ team ball and lost to an overachieving Miami team.

I wonder how we will react this time.

Mark my words: The national talking-heads will label them as over-achievers not choke artists.

All season long we as fans watched this. Choke after choke as players tried to do more than they are capable instead of fit into their roles. Then all of a sudden the got healthy, got a trade and caught fire and it ended.


Tonight it reared its ugly head again. Now they are stuck with it. The team of the epic collapse. Greatness and the finger tip, but something is off.

They now need to face this until they overcome it. Will they ever. That was embarrassing, it was bad.

So bad because like a broken record we have seen it over and over. What will this team become?

MIL was up 10 with 1:33 to go in the 3rd in game 4 but lost that game.  Not quite as dramatic but overall, the Celtics have been the better team in the 4th.  The Celtics did tighten up in game 5.  The Bucks didn't and stole it at the end.   It was a very deflating way to lose a very important game.

I think there are more positives than negatives that have come out of these playoffs so far.  And they may still win the series.  It is going to be very tough at this point, against a very good team, but not entirely out of the question.  Not need to write the epitaph just yet.

And, hey, that might be fair if we lose. We had an epic second half of the season, we swept one of the teams expected to contend for a championship, and if we fall back to earth against the defending champs, that’s nothing to get too upset about once the dust has settled. Obviously in the moment it sucks to lose close or winnable games.
