And that's likely the season. Screw the refs but also Tatum has been garbage the last 7 quarters. Not good  enough

Phew! Still a series  ;D

Gotta admit, we all felt that way earlier tonight!

I am also riding high right now.

Van Gundy mentioned how the defender I think it was Hill pulled Grant down in the early first qaurter and the refs missed that one.

And then later in the game also Theis was pulled and they called the foul on him on the screen. Not defending Theis because he was terrible tonight.

And when did Bobby Portis play? I can't even remember him playing. Did he do anything or did he vanish?

Quote
MILWAUKEE -- — Al Horford and Jayson Tatum scored 30 points apiece and led the Boston Celtics' fourth-quarter comeback in a 116-108 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night that tied their Eastern Conference semifinal at two games apiece.

The two teams have alternated victories in this best-of-seven series, which continues Wednesday with Game 5 in Boston.

Horford scored 16 points and Tatum 12 in the fourth quarter alone to help the Celtics outscore the defending NBA champion Bucks 43-28 in the final period. Horford's 30 points were a career playoff high for the 35-year-old veteran.

Tatum scored eight points and Horford had six during a 14-2 run that put the Celtics ahead for good and gave them a 106-96 advantage with 3:33 left. The Bucks wouldn't cut the margin below six the rest of the way.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 34 points, 18 rebounds and five assists for the Bucks.

Tatum had 13 rebounds and five assists while bouncing back from a poor Game 3, when he had 10 points and shot 4 for 19. Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart each added 18 points for the Celtics.

Horford sparked the rally after Boston trailed by 11 late in the third quarter.

The Celtics tied the game when Horford capped a 10-0 run by driving the baseline and dunking while drawing a foul on Antetokounmpo with 9:51 left. Horford, who normally isn't very expressive on the court, celebrated the dunk by screaming and pumping his fists.

As Horford landed after completing his dunk, his left arm hit Antetokounmpo's face, resulting in a technical foul. Jrue Holiday and Horford each sank free throws to make it 81-all.

Horford was just getting started.

After Milwaukee's Brook Lopez scored the game's next four points to put the Bucks back ahead, the Celtics responded with a 7-0 run and broke an 85-all tie on Horford's 3-pointer with 8:08 left.

The Bucks regained the lead 94-92 when Antetokounmpo hit a driving layup and drew a foul on Horford with 6:02. But after Antetokounmpo missed the free throw, Horford started the 14-2 run that put the Celtics in control.

Horford hit a corner 3-pointer to put the Celtics back ahead with 5:40 left and followed that with a conventional three-point play that made it 98-94 with 5:09 remaining. Later in the spurt, Tatum had a conventional three-point play and a 3-point basket on consecutive possessions.

...

Love it . thanks Al. We live!

I get the sense Tatum really found something late in the second half that will carry over big time from here on out through the rest of the series.

To be fair I definitely wasn't the only one feeling that way. There were some more extreme comments earlier in the thread lol. Now I didn't think the game thread was as bad as some people were saying early on (with the "pizza shop" reference and such) but it was a frustrating period haha

Great win. Maybe we as fans need to cheer our team on rather than throw them under the bus constantly during times they aren't playing perfectly. Some of the posts in the first 15 pages of this thread were pretty ridiculous given it was the 1st quarter of a fairly close game.

Gotta show our boys the love, not the hate.

After the past two games, people should not give up when the Cs get down. This team gets up off the canvass and keeps fighting.

I remember reading on Reddit a Jets fan saying he went to a Patriots game at Gillette Stadium and apparently it felt like "being in a crowd full of Peter Griffins" and I actually laughed reading that

It's in this thread somewhere:

many here are not realists and are eternal optimists. i get it but many cannot criticize their own or call a spade a spade like with players or refs. we do. i have been a fan probably longer than most of you here have been alive and call it like it is. i simply will not bury my head in the sand and believe the NBA reffing is great or does have agendas at times like has been proven over and over. has nothing to do with not loving our team. that is childish speak and the assumptions by certain posters were laughable.
like they know anything about anybody here. one poster calling celtics fans "haters" killed any credibility he or she may have had. LOL

Also, I want to see that JT scoop layup on loop forever. That was incredible
That was Bird-esque, except Larry would have gotten the whistle.
