Let's not forget that Smart was consistently punishing the Bucks in the post late in the 4th like it was the 1980s.

By consistently, you mean twice? Hahah.

Let’s hope he does it more. When the Cs score in the paint — wins happen.

I’m still in shock over that Al Horford performance. I hope that Ime looks to him more when the J’s are struggling. Not that I expect him to go for 30 again, but having a 3rd player that is a threat is huge. Al was scoring from everywhere tonight. 3pt, midrange, at the rim… I don’t think I’ve ever seen Horford that aggressive. It was awesome to see.

His performance gave me reminiscence of 2012 KG. Just absolutely pouring it out there.

well said. last run. KG was 36 in 2012. al is 35.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Only one day to recover and Wednesday is game five!

I'm actually fine with this. We always seem to suck when we have too much rest. Night game and one day off is the recipe for a Cs win!

Ditto. We’re going home with momentum and I have no interest in letting Giannis have extra time to rest.

Mike

Giannis actually did look exhausted late in the 4th. That could play to our advantage going forward this series since he relies so much on driving and being physical

Can't watch but did the defense actually slow him or did he run himself out?

Inclined to guess the former

Changed the channel after we got down 11 in the third quarter and the officiating had become so one-sided I couldn't watch anymore.
My 75" Panasonic was in peril if I didn't. All my property is insured. I'm just not sure that, "Destroyed TV screen watching a Celtics playoff game" is covered under my policy. Fortunately, I hit the record button before I left the game, just in case the Celts came up with some miracle rally. Well, they apparently came up with a miracle rally, which I shall now watch with great pleasure and a fresh Macanudo cigar. This team beats anything I have ever seen before, college or pro. They don't quit on the season and they don't quit on games.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

TP I didn't get to watch the game live either, I did DVR it so watching it this morning will be more pleasurable than what the rest of the guys in the game thread probably experienced

They really do feel like something special. Even when they lose and don't play well they've shown a lot of heart. And other guys other than the Jays are stepping up when needed.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I’d say both.  Coach Bud also took him out of the game around the 5 minute mark too, I think, to give him a quick blow before the final few minutes and I think that was a mistake bc we were just starting to get some momentum when he went out

Because he didn’t get enough from the refs?

I’m sorry, that was just too easy.

So early on Al and Tony Brothers had an exchange. Al wasn't happy from those very early moments. He was grabbing his knees early. Exhausted. Discouraged. Frustrated.

But he never stopped fighting. That was one of the most resilient performances I've seen.

Kinda funky box score...C's mostly had better stats on shooting and assists, but got outrebounded 48-38, and had more turnovers 11-7 and fewer steals 6-2.  My take: When they shoot well and play this kind of defense, they can overcome other deficiencies.

We played some pretty good defence for the most part, just got hurt by second chance points on cheap offensive boards sadly.
