Balls. I voted wrong. Didn't read the question first. Figured you'd ask who got traded, instead of who stayed :]

Gobert, I think (voted Mitchell because I'm an idiot)

Hoping Utah realises which of the two is the more unique asset.

(Cuz I'm a closeted Utah man)
Unique doesn't necessarily mean better. I have no idea what's gonna happen, but if I were Danny, I'd try to swap Gobert for Ayton and I'd keep Snyder and Mitchell. Imo, Snyder may be the best head coach in the NBA. I'm not super high on Mitchell, but I doubt they can get fair value for him.
Based on what?
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Mitchell is only 25. You keep him over Gorbert. I'd trade Gorbert for a starting caliber Wing, cap relief and a top 10 pick.

Easier said than done, given his insane contract

Trading away Mitchell makes no sense unless you decide to do a full on rebuild, in which case you'd probably also trade Gobert anyways.

Mitchell is basically the same player he was as a rookie.  He is small, relatively inefficient, and an awful defender.  A team cannot win with him as its best player.  He also has his name come up a lot as a guy that will be on a different team soon.  All those reasons are why the Jazz should trade him now.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Unless Ainge really doesn’t like Mitchell as a player, I think there’s zero way he trades him.  When you get a star player on your team in his mid-20s, you keep him, and Ainge certainly subscribes to this belief.  I’m personally a Mitchell fan, so I think he stays.  Gobert turns 30 next month, however, so if the Jazz are looking to find a new partnership, he’ll be the one moved.  I don’t see Utah tearing it all down.

I'd trade them both and start over because they are tapped out.  I don't think Mitchell is anywhere near the type of player you hold on to forever.  He isn't as good as Lillard and look where Portland ended up with him and it isn't like Utah was poorly managed or coached.  There is just a ceiling when you have a small inefficient non-defender as your best player.

I'd call up the Knicks and trade him there

Mitchell for Barrett, Toppin, Quickley, Walker (for salary), #11, 23 Dal 1st, 23 CHA 1st

Then move Gobert somewhere else and start over.

I see a RG trade on the horizon, something like Rudy for Wiggins and Wiseman makes sense.

I read this as Rudy Gay at first. If the Warriors are real down on Wiseman this would be good for them. Not sure what his value is after missing the whole season.

The best head coach in the NBA shouldn't go one and done/two and done in the playoffs every year lol

If I were Danny, I’d move Gobert for Simmons and picks. I’d then try to move Mitchell for the first overall pick and take the best player. Then get to work on moving the other vets for picks.

Ask Snyder if he wants to be part of the rebuild. If so, obviously retain him as he’s one of the best coaches in the league. If not, let him go elsewhere and then hire the next hot college coach to lead the rebuild.

How else do they move Gobert, though? Simmons is likely the only offer on the table. Retain Snyder and I bet Simmons could rehabilitate himself. Dude is still an elite defensive, passing and rebounding talent. He’s 99th percentile on defense/rebounding, and quite elite at passing. Unfortunately, he’s in the lowest quartile for shooting…

If Simmons is all you can get for Gobert (it wouldn't be) then you just keep him.

Trade Mitchell to Miami for Herro, Lowry and a first round pick.
