Payton really came up big in game two. He's had his ups and downs this year but he keeps playing hard and making good plays. He was huge in the 4th and I'm so glad for him. Number 11!!!!!

Agreed. Trading Romeo Langford and Dennis Schroder has opened up time for Peyton. He's a great player off the bench.
Celtics fan for life.

He got off to a rough start with the broken nose and a crowded rotation but stayed ready and plays hard every time he's in.

It feels so good seeing Batman and Pritchard having the impact they are after not so long ago the fanbase seemed to be trashing them and calling them overrated or not NBA-Caliber players. Yes, you'll have guys like Langford who will frustrate, but if you give guys the time and experience they can become better players which Pritchard and G-Will have done. It also gives me hope for Nesmith who I still believe in and think could be a good role player next year with some additional experience (and hopefully better health).

He played real gritty and aggressive last night helping finish the game off.

From the day he was drafted I've been a fan.  I remember watching videos of him showing off his dribbling skills.  I expected his shooting and ball handling to provide the Cs a solid backup pg or eventually a starter.  Early this season many on this forum tore him apart for his lack of defense.  At times he seemed lost and badly beaten against quick guards.  Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1966 musical), while his shooting returned in '22 his defense picked up also.  Payton's hustle and desire has blended with his bb knowledge and while at 6' he still has trouble with big, quick guards, Payton is a keeper.  I like the nickname Bulldog for the Cs backup pg who helped win last nights game.
