If they lose game two by a lot? When they face elimination? Game 7 if that happens? If it’s a game 7, do we respond by leading them to believe Timelord will be back and 100%?

I believe Simmons is set to start practicing with the team tomorrow or the day after. They'll have a pretty good idea whether he is capable of anything after 1-2 days of that.

I think the earliest is probably Game 4.

Although I'm curious to see how they even use him. Like if it's the 4th quarter of a close game, it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring in some scrub on our team to just foul Simmons 6 times lol. 12 FT attempts, he'll hit what, 4 of them?

Ben Simmons defense will be a monkey on our back. Hope we can deploy Hack-A-Simmons strategy on him the moment he steps on the court.

I’m just worried about Simmons being brought in to lockdown Tatum and get rebounds. Not the least bit concerned about his offensive output other than offensive rebounds.

They are a long ways from panic mode. They lost this one game, but looked like the better team for a good portion of it, and their star player won't have a worse game this series than he had tonight.

And their other star is less likely to hit all those prayers he shot. Our stars missed a lot of layups as well.
KD didn't play bad due to being off, it was due to a good defensive effort
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Yup. He played bad because we scouted his tendencies and preyed on his weakness (ball-handling).

They will adjust after watching film and so should we

I also think there will be less fouls called in G2.

Hopefully, at least

Simmons hasn't played NBA ball in over a year and is just getting back to speed from a herniated disk. If they want to throw him on Tatum that's their problem.

Does that really matter though? The Sixers tried that same concept and they got screwed because it's not like Simmons is only playing defense on the court. The Hawks in particular did the "Hack-a-Simmons" strategy and it was like the Sixers were 5 on 4 every offensive possession. A big reason they lost that series. He can lock down Tatum but it won't matter if a Luke Kornet comes in, fouls Simmons a bunch and he misses most of them

I mean, maybe he plays? But he hasn’t been on an NBA court in a year, and he’s never played with the Nets. What’s his timing going to be like, and is he going to know the switch and blitz coverages, how the team schemes? They reported two days ago he hasn’t even started doing sprints, so what’s his conditioning? They’re going to throw him into game 5 of a very physical series and hope for the best? I remember what our D looked like the first few games…

I will say that if does come back and they win a game, then time lord comes back that is a lot of drama.

If Simmons comes back …..the garden has to get on his case and rag him to no end.   His mind is fragile as his body ….bad back and all….. ;D
