Maybe we're not talking enough about how beautiful it would be to send Simmons, Harden, Durant, and Irving home simultaneously in the first round?

Pour one out for Patty Mills, who is great, but this Nets team might be the easiest Eastern Conference team to root against since the Heatles.

Unfortunately I don't think the Raptors will beat the Sixers (the team Harden plays for currently)  :P

Yeah sorry that should have been Simmons/Harden (aka the ghost of James Harden)

Seeing some of these box scores, I notice teams are managing to get by playing their main guys about 38-41 minutes. Meanwhile Tatum had to go 45 minutes in Game 1. Is that going to be sustainable down the road?

It's more sustainable than Durant on his old legs playing 41 minutes.

Why not?  The kid is only 24 and appears to be healthy.

He's a superb athlete, the first player I ever recall who hits the bike to stay warm while out of the game.  I think he can play 48 or more in any given game, if needed.

Not worried at all about his fitness. I would prefer Al not having to play 41, but given Rob is out for the next few games it makes sense.

Won't be a problem if we start blowing them out.

Yeah the Boston game was literally decided with 0 seconds on the clock, while many of the games haven't been close at all. Boston just needs to blow Brooklyn out and he will get more rest.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

There was a time for rest. That time is now over. Play your best the amount of time you need to win and not one second less. Rest in the off-season. Now is the time you cowboy up and play.

It's the playoffs. Stars play over 40 minutes. High end starters over 37-38 minutes.

Protected home-court in two bizarre but amazing games.

Playoffs don't start until you win on the road. Now, it begins. Need to go into Brooklyn and take a 3-0 lead!

The one thing that stands out to me in these playoffs is that no one, not one single team, is playing playoff defense anywhere close to the defense the Celtics have played.

And, the Celtics 2nd best defensive player hasn't even played a single minute yet. When Boston gets past Brooklyn and gets Timelord back, there is not a team that is going to figure out this defense to the tune of 4 wins out of 7.

The first title of the JT/JB/TL/Smart dynasty happens this year.

He's young and the games are far apart. I don't think we should worry about that.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

I was worried about minutes for Al all season but now I'm not. Long times between games. You have to go with your best guys. I wouldn't mind seeing Romeo getting some minutes if White can't work it out but the minutes seem fine.
