Wouldn’t shock me to see Philly loose to Pistons .

And Bucks may rest their top two players   Do bucks have a reason to win both games ?

It depends on how many players Bucks , Celtics , 76ers rest the way I see it.  That’s the unknown .

I d be shocked if Memphis plays to win.    So the whole thing could go anyway at this point  , but it looks like to me , IF Boston doesn’t want to end up in 2 nd spot , they got to tank big time.

Memphis will just be going though the motion ,  not chancing an injury .

A victory is pretty much for the taking ……

If the C’s want it ……matter fact it might be hard not to win
I hope so. I don't want any tanking consideration, just play (the deep bench) to win!

It sounds like Morant may be available. I know they have nothing to play for seeding wise but if they want to get him tuned up heading into the playoffs, this game might not be as much of a gimme as we think.

If PHI loses 1 of their next 2 AND Milwaukee win, then it doesn't matter for Boston

If PHI loses 1 of their next 2 AND Milwaukee loses, then the Celtics need to lose Sunday night

If PHI wins the next two outright, then it becomes interesting. Because if PHI + MIL win the rest of the way, Boston could still end up the 4 seed which might not be terrible either, but it means Toronto 1st round instead of Chicago who have been an utter mess lately

In theory, looking at it in terms of the first two rounds the path of Toronto then Miami seems easier than Chicago then MIL/BKN. Yes, even if Jaylen happens to be unvaxxed I'm confident we can beat Toronto in 5 or 6 games. But it really depends on PHI. My gut feeling is they lose one of their final 2

Very interesting 48 hours ahead. Sixers play the Pacers in a few hours too

Friday moved the Celtics closer to a 3-6 first round series with Chicago. Sticking with the
@bball_ref
numbers (and I believe Boston’s chances to land at #2 are much higher than 11%), the current odds…

60% Chicago
28% Toronto
5% Brooklyn
3% Cleveland

The one saving grace for us right now is that Milwaukee plays earlier on Sunday so we'll have a pretty good idea of what needs to be done (or not done) by tipoff against Memphis.

Our best scenario is that they lose.

So much for that idea .

I guess it’s  in the hands of the Bucks now

Much better chance for us to get the 3 seed if MIL wins. If MIL loses, we don’t control our own destiny as far as the 3 seed is concerned. We ‘d have to lose and PHI would have to lose.

There are 4 scenarios after today’s Philly win.

BOS has 50 wins and all the tiebreakers
MIL with 51 wins plays @ CLE who stays out of the 9/10 game if they win and has Mobley back.
PHI with 50 wins plays at home against DET
TOR is the 5 seed and CHI the 6 seed.

#   MIL   PHI
1   51   50
2   51   51
3   52   50
4   52   51

#1 BOS gets the 2 seed if they win and the 3 seed and CHI if they lose.
#2 BOS gets the 2 seed if they win and the 4 seed and TOR if they lose
#3 BOS gets the 3 seed and CHI win or lose
#4 BOS gets the 3 seed and CHI if they win and the 4 seed and TOR if they lose

If the Bucks lose tomorrow, we got to tank tomorrow night against Memphis. 3 or 4 seed > 2 seed

Even if it turns out Jaylen is unvaccinated, I still think we beat TOR in 5 or 6 games
