Optimism is fine, but we are approaching crazy town levels of optimism. Durant is a top 15 player all time and Curry is nearing it, if not already there. They were both top 5 players, arguably top 3 players, during that season. Klay and Dray were both consistent all star or all NBA level players and Dray was a DPOY candidate. AI doesn't fit with the other 4, but was a cagey veteran that knew his role, in much the same way Horford does. Boston has less size, but a similar roster construction, but Boston's players are just significantly worse basically across the board. Tatum < Durant, Brown < Curry, Smart < Klay, Rob < Dray. Basically only Al and AI is even close to comparable.
