Lets just say its Horford out, Joker in. Rest of the team stays in tact. I mean is that three or four rings in a row, no question if they stayed healthy?

Now the team really doesnt need a Point guard ever.
I was watching Jokic an the end of the game, thinkining, man this dude is incredible.

Hes scary close to Larry Legend. Even with Porter Jr and Murray they will never win it all in Denver.

Joker, If you want to win it all find a way to boston. We have exactly what you need to attain multipe rings.

Jokic
Timelord
Tatum
Brown
Smart

All time great team. We might win it all this year without him, but with him forget a bout it.

Clearly if healthy we would be unbeatable. But that ship sailed when we did not trade for Jokic when Denver had both Nurkic and Jokic (and it’s doubtful they would have given up Jokic instead of Nurkic back then). The only remote possibility is if he sees us win it all and demands a trade here. Even if that happened, we would have to give up JB. If that opportunity came up, and Jokic agreed to sign a max extension when the trade is executed, the dollars work if we send out JB, Nesmith and Stauskas. Obviously a no-brainer, especially if Pritchard ups his defensive game:

Smart/Pritchard/MLE who can play 1-2
White/Pritchard/Begarin
Tatum/G. Williams/Ring-chasing vet at min.
Jokic/Horford/TPE who can play 4-5
Timelord/Theis/Ring-chasing vet at min.

.nope, we are keeping Jaylen. Jokic demands trade to only Boston they take Rubbish and picks.

Jokic is possibly the best basketball player on the planet (am bettting on him soon becoming back-to-back MVP), and almost certainly the best passing big in the history of the league. Dude is making a lame Denver squad look like they could still win it all. No way are we getting him for rubbish and our picks. We would absolutely be winning the PowerBall if we could get him for JB and rubbish.

And then swap Smart for prime MJ, and swap Brown for the green Power Ranger!

Have you ever seen Teen Wolf when M..J. Fox says " Give me the keg of Beer" and his eyes are deep red? That's what Steven's does to the Nuggets.

Steven's is secretly a dark lord.

I am thinking about this.  Obviously the offense would be amazing with Jokic, but what about the defense?  The Celts are able to switch everything now.  Would that be the case with Jokic?  Can he defend the perimeter like Horford and Timelord?

No he can't,  he's solid on defense though.  With timelord able to handle the perimeter the pairing would work pretty well on defense.

If Boston added any of the MVP candidates without removing anyone from the team, then Boston would absolutely be the heavy favorites to win the title this year.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

If Timelord has to handle the perimeter, the Celtics lose the ability to switch and it takes Timelord away from the rim, where he is most effective.  Again, it would be a net positive, but defensive philosophy (on which the Celtics "hang their hat") would need to change.

I would trade JB in a heartbeat 10 out of 10 times for Jokic.

It's a no-brainer deal. Next thing we need is someone putting up 28 points one night, then put in 7 points the next night and gets injured another night.

Agreed. Jokic is just the most fun of that group to watch (for me).

Timelord tends to not take the opposition #1 big man, rather cheating off of a lesser shooter, usually the 4 man. I don't think it would change that.

Certainly would change the switching though
