Not sure if this has been discussed yet…

Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on the C’s first round match up.

With how tight the seedlings sit with 9 games remaining it could be any one of the Bulls, Cavs, 76ers, Bucks, Raps, or Nets (I’ve ruled out the Hornets & Hawks as I can’t see either getting through the play in).

My preference would be the Bulls or Cavs first up, though with the way this team is playing now it probably doesn’t matter.

Frankly, would like home court advantage throughout as the top seed against an unexpected 8 seed like Charlotte or Atlanta. We are only 2.5 games away from the top, so it is still possible, and it is always nice having an ECF game seven on our home court. That said, would prefer not to be the one seed if we’re facing Brooklyn in the first-round…

If we cannot be the one seed, I’d prefer to remain the 4 seed against the Bulls as the 5, with Miami holding on to the 1. I would rather face the Heat in the second round and then face whoever wins Philly/Milwaukee, rather than face one of those two in the second round then the Heat in the ECF. It would be nice to beat the Heat before the ECF. Ideally we beat the Heat in the 2nd round and Philly in the ECF, taking down two rivals back-to-back. It would be nice to face Golden State in the NBA Finals given the ratings/attention a GS return would bring (and I’m confident we could take them just like the Bulls easily took out the Showtime Lakers in their first NBA title run…frankly, the only team I worry about is Phoenix…we stay healthy, and avoid Phoenix, I think we’ve got the title).

Time for a redemption tour in the playoffs...take down the Cavaliers (for what they've always done to us in 2015, 2017, and esp 2018), take down the Bucks (for 2019), and trounce the Heat (for 2012, 2020).

Suns/Celtics, Grizzlies/Celtics, Warriors/Celtics all intriguing matchups lol.

Chicago appears to be an absolute paper tiger, so they’re my preference.

Cavs or Bulls will likely be the matchup or maybe even Raptors. But facing the Nets and taking them down early would make the playoff run much easier for the rest of the post season.

I'd really rather not face the Nets. They'd also have extra games on the road and are the only team in NBA history with a home court disadvantage.

I prefer the three seed.  Give me Cleveland or Toronto in the first round.

The 1 seed.

I think Toronto passes Cleveland and the Nets go into Cleveland and beats them for the 7 seed in the play-in.

Love how the team is playing, but a BOS/BKN match-up almost seems likely at this point and that sucks. I realize that you are supposed to be confident against anyone that you are facing, but that team is clearly better than their record when healthy (they beat Utah last night w/o Kyrie, Simmons, Harris, Drummond, Aldridge, and Curry going out early). Really hoping CHA overtakes them and they need to win two games to get 8th.

Of the realistic teams for the first round, anyone but the nets. So I’m thinking it will be the nets.

Go for the best seed to ensure home court through the ECF.

Obviously would like to play as few of Nets/Sixers/Bucks/Heat as possible, but looking at the standings, seems impossible to gauge where everyone will finish.  1-4 can be shuffled any way, and 5-10 almost any way as well.

#1 seed vs CHA would probably be best, followed by Atlanta.
