Al Horford has been a godsend for this team. The combination of him and Williams has been the PERFECT compliment to JT and JB because of how they move the ball on offense, space and fill the dunker’s spot respectively, and because of what they do defensively. I freaking LOVE watching this team, largely because of those two.
That said, at some point in the next few years we are going to have to backfill Horford’s contributions, either due to age, or salary, or both.
How do we do that? Do we go smaller by sliding Tatum into the 4? Do we find someone comparable by trade or free agency? Or do we try to move up and get someone like Tari Eason from LSU or Jeremy Sochan and groom them to backfill?
It feels like we have the team we need to compete for titles for the next decade as long as we can get a contingency plan for Big Al.
