Observations : Ceremony games suck. Losing combination : Keep chucking up 3's at 24.3% and have only 16 assists. Other than Dinwiddies two daggers, the key turning point was Tatum's turnover with 1:36 to play. At that juncture, we had a chance to go up 5 or 6. Maddening turnovers. Grant is in a mini-slump, shooting 1 for 14 3's in his last 4 games. In addition to White's horrendous shooting lately, he has a grand total of one assist in his last two games. The Celtics aren't genuine contenders with a bench of White, Pritchard and Grant. Theis isn't even in the rotation any more.
That turnover was right after Smart passed up and open free throw line jumper. They worked it around and he got another fall away ft line jumper but that was not as open of a look. They got the offensive rebound but I think Smart makes that original shot if he just goes up with it.

Never in my life have I heard of the "you're allowed to give the opponent a high five and it's not a foul" call before. New one on me. Hit the hand, it's a foul. That's what I thought.

I have literally seen that called a foul thousands of times in my years watching basketball.

Is that a new rule?

Or is it a foul and Doncic just got the superstar call?

Doncic call...

Our star (Tatum) shot 7-23.  Our bench shot 6-23.  Both are pretty bad.  Dallas played tough, playoff level defense against us.  They blitzed Tatum, thus forcing his bad numbers, and the other shooters didn't respond.  Dallas knew exactly who to leave open.  For Dallas, people not named Luka hit 11 3s while our whole team only hit 9.

But I don't see this as just a make miss thing.  You have to get better shots.  Execute better.  Between ORebs and TOs, we ended up with 14 more shots and still could make more shots.

Next up Warriors.  We need to learn from this game and move on.  We lost, Dallas was better today, but we can fix the things we need to.  Maybe it is one more pass.  Maybe it is more lobs to RWill, but we aren't going to win when Smart, Brown, White, and GWill go 5-25 from 3.  We need to find a way to find better looks.

We don't need anymore guys glued to the bench. Can we please get some shooters that Ime will play? We needed guys that could make open shots when Tatum is doubled. This is not rocket science.

Starters 7-24 from 3

Grant and White 0-8

Pritchard 2-5

What other shooters?

except for Al, the whole team was underwhelming to say the least.  some were downright horrible.  p---poor offense regardless of the Dallas D.  sloppy passing throughout, no off-ball movement.  they were too easy to guard for Dallas today.  just a really disappointing game.

I see all the regulars who love to tear the team down have returned now that the Celtics finally lost a game. Where have you all been since that Indy loss?

The second half of this game was frustrating but you are right when you said in another post that it's just one game.
