The funny thing is, if Dinwiddie misses and we score one more point we would be having a totally different conversation about the game. This game was very very even.

Dallas played excellent defense, and our offense needed to be better  - there was room to play a better way and also to execute better - hit the shots. The Js definitely seemed to get sped up at the end.

This should not be forgotten. They have a lot of athletic length and know how to play some good schemes.

I see all the regulars who love to tear the team down have returned now that the Celtics finally lost a game. Where have you all been since that Indy loss?

The second half of this game was frustrating but you are right when you said in another post that it's just one game.
I did not mean regular game threaders, my friend. I meant some that only show up late and hit the "doom & gloom, we suck" buttons after losses. It's easy to see who they are.

I see you came back during a loss after barely being here during their winning ways. If the shoe fits ....

Massive choke job against a doomed, overachieving Mavs team.

Need more mental toughness despite the trash corporate mafia cheat job at the end
Lol. Us and Dallas are the two big turnarounds since the new year.

Are we doomed and overachieving too?
Lolol not sure how you deduced that.

We are more talented. Dallas will get exposed for their lack of physicality and their lack of a second scorer. They'll be out in the first round barring a major ref fix job

The mavs are better than us.

Dude the Mavs have a zero percent chance of winning a title. Not only are they not better than us but they are not top-10 in the league. Their lack of physicality will get exposed and they are doomed.

They move the ball around nicely but that will be harder in the playoffs. They're a "regular season team" and will get exposed as such when the pressure is on.

I mean I agree the mavs have the same shot at winning the title this year as the Celtics, zero.

Even though the C's did beat BKN in a close game recently, unfortunately games like today have been more common for the C's this season. They don't have a great record in close games.

Yes, it's nice when Tatum puts up 40+ but he can't do that all the time. Others have to step up. You know teams will try their best to double or contain Tatum in the playoffs, so someone else is also going to have to consistently show up on the offense. It should be Jaylen but honestly Jaylen's been iffy lately (maybe the ankle is bothering him still)

I'm still feeling good about the team and the defense is legit, but I still question their depth especially if one guy goes down. They REALLY need to stay healthy 1-8 on the roster to have a chance at a deep run.

I've missed some of your takes.

If when Parker is healthy he’s better than the Jays.

Bit late to the party. What's the synopsis? Just poor shooting?

Turnovers
Bad shooting
Terrible D during the 3rd.
Poor officiating
Going back to old ways in the 4th vs playing like a team.

Credit the Dallas D as well.

I’m rooting hard every game for Derrick White but I thought his missed 3’s in the 3rd were killer.  Bad bad shots.

White seems like a nice guy and I can't deny that he contributes in several ways, but his 3pt shooting for Boston has been wretched, and he also seems to be a bit like a headless chicken the way he pinballs all over the court.

I didn't think Dallas's defense was great; I think Boston missed a lot of open looks (which, unfortunately, happens fairly often with them).

Also, the result might've been different if Boston didn't give up a long heave by Dinwiddie at the halftime buzzer. Boston had just taken a 12-point lead, but that shot chopped it to single digits, and the Mavs came out swinging in the third with 38 points.
