Pistons (18-48) at Celtics (40-27) Game #68 3/11/22

Pistons are 6-3 over their last 9. includes wins over Toronto, Cleveland, Charlotte. At least they won’t sneak up on us; hopefully the team is motivated to get revenge.

Yeah, our 9-point win is tied for their largest margin of defeat over the last 10 games (they’ve also lost to the Wizards by 9 and 3, and to the Bulls by 6).  They’re no longer a walkover like they were the first time we played them.

Should be a easy win but they beat us couple weeks ago

With Stewart, Hayes and Diallo all out, this looks like it will be much easier game.

I love the 5-man line up stats.  Tonight's starting line up for Detroit has played in 4 games for a total of 44 minutes, I think only once as starters.  They are -8 plus/minus and -7.8 NetRgt.  Their ORtg is 93 (the Celtics' starters are 116 ORtg).  Defensively, this unit isn't all that bad at 101 DRtg but the Celtics of course are otherworldly at 92 DRtg.

All that said, we need to keep the mindset every game, every quarter, every possession, until someone knocks us out of the playoffs or we win the championship.  We can't afford to let down our guard against anyone.  We can't lose this Mojo.  If you let it get away, it can be hard to get it back.

Look at Durant last night.  He was all business, really intense.  Granted, that was a bigger game in a sense but we need to be treating every game like that.  No horsing around, all business, every possession.  (Is that old school enough for you?).

Man, if Detroit gets a top 3 pick in this year's draft, they are going to have a chance to really be a great team in a few years.  Like how they are building that team.  Do a nice job with their draft picks, especially Bey and Stewart. Kind of whiffed on Hayes. Cunningham is going to be a good one.

Bey will probably put up 30, some other random Pistons player we've never heard of will go off on us, and it'll be another close Detroit-Boston game. That's how it's gone this season lol, though I acknowledge DET is better than their season record indicates.

He looked better the last time the C’s faced Detroit, but I’m still not sold on him. Low FG and 3P%, turns the ball over a lot, average athleticism. In a redraft I’d take Mobley and he should be Rookie of the year as well.
