While he didn't commit to, or close the door on, a return to Cleveland, James did share the one part of his basketball future that he does know.

“My last year will be played with my son,” James said. “Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point.”

LeBron the NBA executive can just force his way to join a team wherever his son goes without that team's approval or cap situation control.

Wow, how fun.

Here’s a hypothetical.  The Lakers turn things around and not only get Lebron his 5th ring, but position themselves as favorites in 2024.  Would he really leave LA and the chance to tie Jordan for a minimum contract on a lottery team?

SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark

I think it would be pretty awesome for Lebron to play with his son for a year, Griffey style.  Lebron has earned the right to hop to another team for the minimum; plenty of vets have joined Lebron for peanuts.  I'm pretty sure Lebron will have plenty of influence as to which team they want to join.  In other words, they won't be playing in Minnesota or Sacramento.

Where did Lebron say that he would have to play with his son in 2024?

What force?

His current contract runs out in 2022-23. He then signs and 1+1 player option contract in 2023 where his +1 contract can be picked up if his team drafts Bronny or he opts out to sign a one year deal with whoever does draft his son.

No forcing necessary.

Is Bronny even good enough to play in the NBA? I’m not familiar with his game.

Me neither and don't know if he's good enough, but it doesn't matter. That's the point of this thread title. He will play in the NBA for at least 3 years.

Lebron just confirmed what many have been saying for years.  He also said nothing about playing for the minimum only that money wouldn't be an issue.

Bronny is ranked 43rd in his high school class so not out of the realm he makes the NBA, especially if he gains an inch or two past his current 6'3"
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

That’s what he’s saying. As much as I hate him as a rival, I respect how LBJ seems to have a lot of his priorities figured out. I think one year in the NBA with his son means more to him than having to “prove his legacy” or whatever. He’s already done plenty of proving
