Is Bronny even good enough to play in the NBA? I’m not familiar with his game.
I'm not familiar with his game either.

Even if I were 100% certain Bronny is a scub, I'd still draft him. Adding LeBron for 1 season is easily worth a lotto pick no matter how good Bronny is.

(assuming LeBron's game hasn't fallen off a cliff by the time Bronny declares for the draft)

It would be great to see the kid in the g league, and his daddy following him there.

But from what i have seen, kid is not nba material, but still, someone might get him in the second round just for the revenue (like those chineese, japanesse, indian etc players).

Combine that with his calling Sam Presti "the MVP" means that LeBron noticed all those draft picks OKC has hoarded and taking a flier on Bronny would sell a lot more tix for a farewell season

Most mocks have him as a second rounder. A.lot will depend on his growth.

Lakers need to be concerned and do what he wants, because Le Carpetbagger has his eyes on the up and coming Cleveland Cavs. In his  eyes all they need is a dash of the King to bring them over the top.

It would be just like him to walk on the Lakers and inject himself on his home team town as the savior, while trying to scoff himself another ring.

This just seems like Lebron is trying to get his kid into the NBA lol. Probably harsh of me to say, I know, but otherwise are we even sure Bronny would be drafted in the NBA and getting real NBA minutes on a team? Also feels like a way Lebron is subtly saying he'll go to another team before he retires and is done with LA.

Lebron might be playing his last season in the G-League, haha.

But any contender would spend a #1 to add Lebron even for one year, right?

Probably but what I'd find hilarious though is, so lets say they draft Bronny and then Lebron plays for a year or two and retires, and in that time Bronny is just a garbage-time guy on the bench. Like, then what? Does the team just keep him for a while or just dump him right after lol.

The optics would be hilarious honestly

may i ask which players specifically you are referring to?

next, lebron, i would assume, know that this helps his son get into the nba, for at least a few years. if it were just about playing with his son, he would not need to announce this, but instead just do it. by making this public it seems clear to me that he is helping his son.

with a year of lebron attached, his son has more value than before. i would also say that clubs close to winning a championship would be those most interested in adding lebron. if your club is a cellar dweller, the attraction of adding lebron for a year is less appealing.

but for a contender (maybe the celtics??!!  :o ) Lebron might push them into real contention. if i am holding a first round pick in the 20 to 30 range, a year of lebron may very well look better than the pick.

This seems a bit weird to announce. This seems like kind publicly pushing a team to draft his son. Teams have done this with the brothers of Gianni’s but it doesn’t need to be announced. Seems like potentially just embarrassing his son if he isn’t nba material.

If your looking toward the future and rebuilding why bring Lebron in for a year?

That would be a huge setback. He is not worth the trouble.

Imagine the damage to a younger locker room when Lebron comes in and undermines the coach and GM, and even worse lobbies for his son to get playing time over better players who deserve it.

Then he just leaves.

Here’s a hypothetical.  The Lakers turn things around and not only get Lebron his 5th ring, but position themselves as favorites in 2024.  Would he really leave LA and the chance to tie Jordan for a minimum contract on a lottery team?

That’s what he’s saying. As much as I hate him as a rival, I respect how LBJ seems to have a lot of his priorities figured out. I think one year in the NBA with his son means more to him than having to “prove his legacy” or whatever. He’s already done plenty of proving
Why would he leave in 2024?  He said his last year, not his son's first year.  Lebron could play another 5 or 6 years in theory.
