Hey guys, I skipped the game, figured there's no need to watch this one.

Hottest team in the NBA with a 9 game win streak vs the worst and coldest team in the NBA on an 8 game losing streak.  And it's at home. Outcome is pretty much guaranteed.

So how much did we win by?

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Sadly just a joke, unfortunately I did watch.

It's funny though, yesterday when the news broke Rob Williams was out, a lot of C's fans over on Reddit were like "well it was fun while it lasted" thinking the C's were in big trouble.

And today, while I was aware of the possibility of a trap game, I definitely thought a 9-game win streak team vs a 12-win team on an 8-game losing streak, there's no way the C's blow this one even with Smart and Rob out.  Boy was I wrong.

Honest, I wish I could post my thoughts during a game but by the time I complete a reply, the topic is long gone lol

I feel like this is how most type during a game thread:

5' 10" former point guard

Career highlight: 1973-74 championship, Boston Celtics

Career lowlight: traded for a washing machine

Right now I am so sick of Tatum, Brown and Ime.
Our politically correct coach and our two dumb superstars.

Just a lot of empty calories.
This seems to just ooze ......

Nevermind. I would probably be the one to get banned for saying it.

But everyone knows what it oozes of.

Also Huge No Call on the pass under the basket from White to Horford....Pushed in the back and lost the ball---was totally a foul.

Did the Pistons really have a foul to give at the end?

I never thought KO was bad here.  He just wasn't Giannis.

Told my buddies just before tip off that this was a trap game. Back to back of a road/home during the best stretch of basketball of our season. Also the game before the all star break which players tend to take for granted.
They thought I was crazy for saying it, but clearly I wasn't far off.

Celtics played hard, but Detroit played very well, I have to tip my cap to them.

The one thing I learned from the game, or that was confirmed for me during the game, is how unbelievably thin our team is if there are any injuries whatsoever. At full strength I think we can compete with any team in the league. If we are missing one of our starters we have no shot to make it out of the first round.

I missed this game last night, but thought I caught on Twitter that Jaylen got hurt.  Haven't been able top find out anything but thought I saw highlights with him on the court late in the game.  Can anyone fill me in?

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Disappointing, obviously.

Tatum could've gotten something better there at the end.

This is literally the story of Tatum's career. He hit that absurd bank 3 pointer over Giannis last season, but dude always launches 20+ft shots at the end and always misses them. I won't go into the rest of the game - obviously it shouldn't have gotten to this point - but Ime's ATOs and Tatum only having one go-to move at the end of games is going to be the death of me.

Everyone knew this was a trap game

1) Marcus and Rob go a long way for us setting up a defensive tone,  we were not elite defensively

2)  Grant had a terrific game ruined by his inability to rebound when given starter minutes.  Keep us in the game with sharp shooting, keep them in the game with bad rebounding.   This is on the whole team,  too.  But 3 boards in 41 minutes isn't a enough.  The whole team stunk on the boards and we had 2 offensive rebounds the whole game.  They had 18

3)  We were missing two starters, when you lack depth this hurts.

4)   White can play but he was off shooting last night.   He did everything else to some degree

5) The Pistons wanted this one more than us.   I think it all comes down the this fact.

6)  Another bad end of game play.  No movement and a one on one shot.   If he hit it we'd all say we squeaked by, but he did not.

7)  Our guys were tired back to back and wore out and need a break.  I think mentally some of them were already on the All Star Break.  Checked out.

8)   Why didn't we draft Saddiq?  He torches us and can play.

9}   Cunningham is a good player.

I still love the team and everyone has an off night.
