Woah. Am I tripping or did the Celtics just routed the 76ers by almost 50 points?

What a great win

Maybe both.  Tripping while watching this laugher of a game would be fun.

Before tonight, had we lead the 76ers by 50 points at any time, ever?

I was impressed with how Pritchard played tonight. Hard to put much stock into such a bloodbath, but he still led the team in assists in just 19 minutes. He was really trying to get guys like Nesmith and Hauser involved too. I think he's a better passer than he's given credit for, mainly because he's rarely given the chance to run the offence. I think he is fully capable of it when he keeps his head up.

I been watching for decades and don’t think we beat them bad when they were tanking all those years

Eat it:

Quote
“Charlotte, they move the ball extremely well and they have shooters all over the place, and they made a bunch of jump shots,” Embiid said, via Sixers reporter Derek Brodner. “Boston is more of an iso heavy team, so it becomes easier to load up and try to stop them.”

Forgot about that. Thank-you.

Funny how the game threads are 50 pages again.

Last December they rarely broke 25.

Welcome back, fair weather fans!

I've been on here. Just didn't have a lot to say.

There were still just as many posters watching the threads then as now.

Actually, don't do this please.

And I'm half saying that as a fellow poster and half as a mod.

No need to call people out for having a good time. Just because people don't enjoy posting when this place is all miserable.

Seriously. No need. Don't do this.

Philly looks really thin right now. Even when Harden returns they may be a little worse even this year. I think they really miss Curry & Drummond.

Yeah, actually this games seems to be an aberration. Generally close games or games that we lose bad in have a lot more posts than these big blowouts. I imagine the big winning streak has a lot to do with this one, and it being the rival 76ers.

I don't think they'll be worse. Harden is such a magnet for attention, which will allow Tobias Harris to return to that sweetspot of good enough to score 18 points but not good enough to be given #2 option attention from opposing defences. Their rotation will be:

Harden / Milton
Maxey / Korkmaz
Green / Thybulle
Harris / Niang
Embiid / Reed

If they find someone good on the buyout market they could really solidify that as a good playoff group.

Boston is now just 1.5 games back of being a 3 seed (and 3.5 back of the 1 seed).

They are absolutely in this. I think health will be a factor too and that's not a guarantee for other teams either (like, can the Nets stay healthy? Sixers? Maybe but can't guarantee it)

Theis looked so comfortable back in our system.after all the challenges this season, it is so enjoyable to see this team click.

I want this team to continue to focus on the pass and collapsing the paint on offense. Avoid the attraction to the 3 and iso play.

With their 135-87 victory over the 76ers, The Celtics are the first team in NBA history to win 3 straight road games by at least 30 points.

Amazing stat. Not only did we set a franchise record for threes in a game, we just made league history, too!
this is amazing. if they can play defense like this the rest of the way they might wind up in first.

ha aha ha ha ha.....a month ago how many of us had written this team off ?

thank you celtics and thank you Udoka.
