I was super pleased by the fact that Theis stepped in without really missing a beat.  I wasn't sure what we were going to get from him after his less-than-successful stint with Houston.  If he's still Theis then he's a very useful rotation player.

And I hope Nesmith can find his confidence and ball out for us going forward.  Bring controlled energy and some scoring off the bench.  We need that.
Theis looked pretty solid considering his time away from the team.  still gets no respect from the refs but he held his own out there tonight

Cs now have best record in East vs teams with .500 or better record.

Just lucky.

K.

Let's counterpoint this win.

If you take Embiid out this game; who's left? Is that what we did? Prevent Embiid from Embiiding, and then the rest couldn't beat us?
Brad's strategy in the playoffs was always, make the rest of the Sixers beat you. If Embiid goes off against great defense, whatever but make others beat you. That way if Embiid falters, and he did in a lot of those playoff 2nd halves, the game is basically an easy W.

And it worked.

With Horford, This and the Williams boys, we have enough defense to beat the Sixers in a series. Harden doesn't concern me.

Smart should take care of Harden.

I think the last pro game I saw that was this one-sided, Curly Neal was spinning circles dribbling, and Meadowlark Lemon was throwing buckets of confetti onto the folks in the front row.

Woah. Am I tripping or did the Celtics just routed the 76ers by almost 50 points?

What a great win

Both can be true...
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

Funny how the game threads are 50 pages again.

Last December they rarely broke 25.

Welcome back, fair weather fans!

The Cs have won 16 of their last 20 games.  Not too shabby.

I know!  we have been on a roll.
I don't know if we are officially a contender yet, but I think there are some teams that probably don't want to see us in round 1 of the playoffs.

Eat it:

Quote
“Charlotte, they move the ball extremely well and they have shooters all over the place, and they made a bunch of jump shots,” Embiid said, via Sixers reporter Derek Brodner. “Boston is more of an iso heavy team, so it becomes easier to load up and try to stop them.”

Ime on Marcus' injury

"He rolled his ankle pretty bad...didn't look great how he was walking [off the court]."
