What is happening right now. Seems like a deal for no reason...

Lot of chips appear to be falling.  Wait for the dust to clear and maybe what is left will make sense?

And....  I like Theis!  I'd say Richardson for Theis feels like a reasonable swap.  I know not positionally but in terms of useful consistent rotation player.

I'd really like the C's to have acquired a shooter, but hopefully not done yet.

They are definitely still missing a piece.  Hopefully Nesmith can get his shot together.

One of my alltime binkies is back in Boston.

My husband is happy - he'll stay up a little later to watch the games now haha

Also, for those worried about our roster spots. Here's a look at the current FAs:

Was worried about the cap, but see Fernando and Freedom included, too. We have a lot of open roster spots lol

Hopefully to be filled with buy out vets or shooters.

Free agent shooters?  #facepalm

At least Bruno and Freedom got to hit their 3 pointers in the last couple of games.

I’ve been beating the Chaundee Brown drum since last draft.

Houston gets Enes Freedom and Bruno Fernando in the deal too, sources tell ESPN.
good lord, Brad just giving away everyone in overpays today.  I like Theis but he's not worth Schroder, Freedom and Bruno.  next tidbit to come out will likely be Brad also threw in a first rounder too

I'm not seeing an overpay here.  Maybe the White deal but not sure -- I need to see the guy play and I can't pretend to know him as a player well enough to gauge the trade.

The Theis deal I like.  Freedom and Bruno have very little value and DS is inconsistent and gone in 22-23.   Theis is consistent, fairly paid, a good contract to include in a future trade, and in control through 24-25 (last year a club option).   Provides flexibility with Rob, Al, Theis and Grant.  Though maybe there is still another move...

More has to be coming back. It appears the Celtic now has a whole bunch of empty roster spots

Ime only plays eight guys anyway.  No need for five more roster slots, I guess.

Yikes.

It was always unlikely he'd remain, but I think the Theis acquisition is very much setting up Horford being traded or stretched this off-season.

Seems Horford should be going out to bring in a couple guys. Just 10 players and the 2 two-way guys seems like a very, very shallow and bad bench.

Not shocked they unloaded Kanter. If he'd have stayed he'd have been garbage time only for the rest of the season. Theis is a nice pick up - a really nice pick up.

You can still have Horford guard Giannis and Embid man to man at times during games. For that reason alone he's worth keeping - plus he moves the ball.

I am thrilled to have Theis back.  He never should have left.

I am loving this trade.   So glad to see DT back in green!

I liked Freedom, but he was so limited in what teams we could play him against.
I like this move for our playoff run, 3 reliable bigs + Grant.

Btw, another ex-player Stevens has acquired.
I’ve said it over and over, Brad didn’t just dump Kemba, he acquired a player he loved coaching and fits well within the system (mainly on defense). BS is building his ideal roster (within the constraints of course) and that consists of above average and versatile defenders like Horford and Theis.

Williams III and Horford will actually get to rest now.
