I'm not for trading Jaylen but if we did I'd consider something like this:

Jaylen and Bruno for VanVleet, Achiuwa and Scottie Barnes.

While we are trading the best player in the deal the three guys we get back are all players. Two starters and a solid bench big. VanVleet is having an All-Star year and Barnes looks like he's going to be special. I do think that this trade makes the Celtics better.

Do you think Toronto would do this?

Do you think Toronto would do this?

Maybe. Jaylen is the best player in the deal.

Not likely. Something like Anunoby and Trent for Brown and Langford is probably more realistic. And I don’t know if I’d do that. Something about having to play against Jaylen four times a year plus possibly in the playoffs turns me off.

Great trade for Toronto but that's not near enough for Jaylen.

I don't think so. I reckon you could get VanVleet or Scottie Barnes but not both.

There's a huge land between VanVleet + Achiuwa + Barnes and Anunoby + Trent.

The first one Toronto would never do and the second on the Celtics would never do.

Considering the construction and position of both teams I think it's highly unlikely they could make a deal, not to mention they're rivals.

That's the kind of haul you need for Brown. I'd rather just keep him but if The Raps offered, VanVleetand Barnes I'd have to think about it.

Not happening but Vanvleet and OG for Brown and Schroeder seems like a decent return.

That doesn't do it for me.

There is no way Toronto does that.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

So we keep Jaylen. I'm fine with that.

Not only would Toronto not consider that deal, but an argument could be made that VanVleet is the best player in the deal too.
