As someone who hasn’t really listened to radio broadcasts and am somewhat new to Sean Grande I must say I am a big fan.

Seems to have great chemistry with Scal and is funny and great energy and insight.

I won’t be the least bit upset if he takes over for Mike in a few years.

Yeah he isn’t bad. Mike’s a legend tho. Still my fave commentator for basketball.

He’s very good. Once Mike decides to retire, Grande needs to be the replacement. Would love for Maxwell to join him as well. Those two have excellent chemistry and I like that Cedric is a little crazy, too.

This. I love Maxwell. But it looks like NBC has this infatuation with Scal. I think Scal is awful at what he does. He literally ruins the broadcast.

Gorman is like a seasoned film actor who never over-acts, and is disciplined in staying in his lane in order for the bigger star opposite him (Tommy) to shine. He is understated and excellent.

Grande is more like Al Pacino. Also good, but very different.

What do you guys dislike about Scal?

I love having a self deprecating former player on the broadcast. He's funny and knows heaps about the game.

I don't see the issue past things like "I don't like his laugh" which I heard someone say here.

Grande not bad? He's been the voice of the Celtics for over 20 years. He's excellent, probably the best in the game.

Love Scal. I think he’s great. Love his player insight.

Mike is obviously a legend but Grande is fantastic too. Celtics fans are so lucky with the options of Mike and Scal or Grande Maxwell. Other teams commentators are often miserable.

I like scal too. And I really enjoy it when he calls out specific in-game action/mistakes as opposed to motherhood statements/observations the way commentators on other teams do. It’s like he’s got a coach’s mind (although I doubt he has a coach’s discipline or teaching ability)

Sean Grande is solid for sure. Just looked him up and he just turned 50, so he should have a lot of years left in him once we get post-Gorman (which will suck).
