The Clippers are trading Eric Bledsoe, Justise Winslow, Keon Johnson and future second-round pick to the Trail Blazers for Norman Powell and Robert Covington, sources tell ESPN.

I like it for the Clips provided they think Kawhi and PG will be healthy for a playoff run.

Makes the Clippers better now (Bledsoe has been terrible) and next year, because Powell is under contract.  Their pick is unprotected to OKC this year, so they have no incentive to tank.

Blazers save money next year and get a prospect and pick.

If that's are it took to get Covington and Powell...wow.

But obviously, this is a move to dump $65 million in long term salary for Portland.

Powell is under contract for 4 more years, and they’ll have Covington’s Bird rights, so this is a move for the future as well as this year.

I like this for the Cs.  Bledsoe for Rubio has been mentioned in the press.  This make Schroder more valuable to the Cavs.

The Clippers just robbed the Blazers blind.

I’m sure the Blazers would have no problem dumping Bledsoe to Cleveland for a 2nd.

Two starters for a bunch of bad bench players & a 2nd round pick. That is a steal for the Clippers.

I thought I saw a report just today that Kawhi is likely done for the year.

Bledsoe theoretically could be moved in a separate trade, I think, but if that's what the Blazers wanted they probably could have rolled it into this trade.

G: R.Jackson
G: N.Powell, Terrence Mann,
F: P.George, Covington, Batum
F: Kawhi, Marcus Morris, Kennard
C: Zubac, Ibaka

Their C rotation and PG spot suck.

But their wing depth is sensational. Two star wings in PG13 and Kawhi. Covington is a starter level player. Marcus Morris is a borderline starter. As is Batum. Kennard a solid bench player. That is ridiculous depth.

And it's not like they can just play some SFs at SG because they got Norman Powell and Terrence Mann there who are good players as well.

Clippers need to make some follow up moves to balance out there team. Hopefully get a big man or a PG.

Sure, but if the Clippers want to make a deal now, there’s no need to hold it up while the Cavs are thinking what they want to do, because that deal can happen on its own.

I actually think this opens up the Clippers as being a potential Schröder landing spot.  They already wanted a PG despite having Bledsoe.  Now he’s gone and they didn’t get one back with him.

I wonder if this is a sign that Portland is ready to make real moves and blow up the core? Because they didn't really get anything of value back. Bledsoe is sporadic at best, Keon is project, idk what Winslow is anymore, and the future 2nd will be mid to late in the round.

This isn't a move a GM would make if they're trying to win this season or next.
