I'm wondering whether one of their options is a trade centered around Horford. After all, the Raps desperately need a starting-caliber Center. For instance, Dragic + Birch for Horford. It also works with Boucher instead of Birch, but I assume the Raps would rather shed some 2022/23 salary if they were to acquire Horford.
Birch reminds me of Theis. He's one inch taller, hence he's a better post defender. Unlike Theis, he isn't shooting the 3. Other than that, their games are almost identical. He's a terrific perimeter defender at the Center position. I reckon he'd be a great fit in our switch-heavy defensive system. He's also a reliable roller and screener. Scores 1.23 PPP when rolling to the basket which ranks in the 71st percentile. Averages 3.7 screen assists per 36. For reference purposes, Timelord averages the exact same number per 36.
According to rumors, if Dragic gets bought out (either by the Raps or by another team), he wants to team up with Luka. They won the 2017 European Championship playing together which was an amazing feat for slovenian basketball. Fwiw, Dragic was the go-to guy at the time, although 18-year-old Luka was playing great as well.
