Beal is a loser who likes losing.
Star leaves town:

Look at that ring chaser; can't do it on his own!

I view this as a good thing for the Cs.

1. Beal is a high usage player that would take touches from Both Tatum and Brown.
2. If Tatum and Beal are close as people say then when it comes time for Tatum to sign his next contract he may seek the advice of Beal and follow a similar path.

I interpret his words as loyalty to the team that drafted and developed him.  Something positive in this day of players jumping ship to chase a ring or the biggest bucks possible.  of course I also think the fact Wash can pay him more than anyone else plays a factor but I'll overlook that to stick to my Pollyanna-ish view he's just loyal.

Said another way:

Washington can pay me more than anyone and I like being the center of attention in Washington, win or lose, because it massages my ego.

You nailed it.

I may be in the minority but who cares.  Basketball is a job.  We are are trying to make as much money as possible for ourselves, families and legacy.  If that's the case and that's what's best for Beal he should do it.  There is zero loyalty in this business on the team or players end and each should do what's best for the individual and for the team.

Is Lillard a loser?  Was KG a loser because he wanted to win in Minnesota?

Nailed it.

TP.

I respect it. Young guys generally don't have that championship aspiration as high as say, CP3 or a Harden.

He'll get there though.
