Ime's ATO plays never work.

We literally have the highest ATO score of any team in the NBA.

https://halfcourthoops.substack.com/p/boston-celtics-atos-creative-guard

That's amazing.  It's not because of good play design.  It's usually not a great play call and things often break down - the shot that is intended usually does not result.

That link describes otherwise.

I think we're just very keen to go "this coach sucks" because the team's doing bad.

Typical fan stuff, y'know.

You can still make buckets even if the play breaks down.  Brad was much better at ATO plays, especially in his earlier seasons.

Were we leading the league in ATO plays under Brad too?

Just asking.

All I'm saying is, maybe we're wrong about things. And ATO breaking down, doesn't necessarily mean bad coaching. Could just be players executing poorly because of whatever reason. Heck, even "not enough practice" is a great excuse for it.

Not sure about the stats.  But the play designs were creative and the looks that were generated were usually very good.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Is this the bench has played all season?  GWill and Langford on the court at the same time has worked unreasonably well.
