When Smart is back from protocols, who should be in the rotation the rest of the year if the Celtics are still trying to compete this season?

I would go for Pritchard on the proviso that we can ship Schroder for something of value (anything!), but Schroder has more game-winning ability than PP.

That being said, PP has turned it around since December and is looking like the guy we drafted last season. I want to give him minutes, because he produces really solidly when he's in that 20-29 minute range sweetspot.

Unsure which team would trade for Schroder at this stage.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Suppose we can’t trade Schröder for anything.  I’d just bench him anyway at this point.  The question was who helps us more at winning, and I don’t think he’s the answer to that question.

We’re not doing anything in the playoffs this year if we even get that far.   Trade Schroder for anything even if it’s a late second round pick.  Play Pritchard to find out what he’s capable of.

We are 11th in the East and going nowhere. Give Pritchard the minutes.

I'd love to see Pritchard get 8-10 games in a row of 20mpg. See what he can do with some consistent playing time. It is difficult to be consistent when your minutes are something different every night. Players need consistency.

Dump Schroder from the rotation for 3 weeks and see how Pritchard does. If Pritchard does better, he keeps the job. If he doesn't, bring Schroder back.

Yeah, I don't think his fit is a good one. PP provides consistent shooting, tempo control and less turnovers, plus he's much younger and contracted for the future.

As Roy wrote, I would consider trading Smart too.
