I will take the win. We kind of lucked ou there. My question is the out of bounds play where it was inbounded to Tatum WHY would Jaylen Brown be in the opposite corner making it nearly impossible to get him the ball. Don't you want to give your best or 2nd best player the opportunity as an option? Where they had him stationed was in no mans land. Luckily Tatum hit the difficult shot.

Ask Brad and then ask Ime.

I'm still amazed that Ime bothered to use the challenge with 3 seconds left to switch a foul from Rob to J Rich when Rob wasn't even in foul trouble.

In my understanding, you don't challenge a call to go from x to y. You challenge the call in general. Refs decide what happens next.

So in short; maybe we went "that wasn't a foul" and then the refs were like, "you're right, it wasn't, but that JRich stuff was".
I thought on replay refs were only supposed to check the call made, not make a new call.

From what I've seen; they assess the call, and then decide on what the play should've been.

In this case, it was a foul by someone else anyway, so remains "similar", hence the confusing wording of "call is overturned".

In other cases, they let a team have the ball.

In other cases again, they call a jump ball because no team had possession.

I think the challenge was wether there was a foul or not. The refs just made it more bizzare by switching the foul on a different player. Insane.

How valuable is Rob Williams? Easily my favorite player to watch on the C’s
Trade everybody else

We can never let him go ,  the only decent athletic YOUNG , non injured,  over the hill. , not fat ,  used up Big this team has had in forever.

Now we need a REAL true Guard to lead the team …. A nice tall one who can see over the defense and make a freaking jump shot …….good bye Smart

See above.

They assess the call.

Then they see what should be called instead.

In this case, on the same play, the player was fouled by someone else. So that's an easy switch up to make.

In case that doesn't happen, you call either ball out, or jump ball if nobody had possession.

Not taking anything for granted this season.  Any win is a good win.

Pretty dreadful games from Tatum and Smart from an efficiency standpoint.  Combined 11-32 with 13 TOs and only two assists between them.  Jaylen didn’t shoot well either but at least he took care of the ball and spread it around some.

Aside:  Rob is on the short list of players with a realistic shot to put up a 5x5 at some point.

Agree with a lot of that but not that JT took care of the ball. 8 turnovers to 1 assist.
