After hearing about the clicking article that went something like "Jaylen Brown trade to the hawks" By some SI reporter. I looked at the hawks roster and I don't even want any of their players for Smart

What other teams could use Smart?  Teams with title hopes of course.  The Warriors,  76ers, Lakers, come to mind. I would think about Kaminga from the Warriors.

Any other teams interested In Smarts defensive talents? Let's throw something to the wall and see if it sticks.

Celtics would be a bottom 5 team without Smart this year.  The pitchforks this board has for him are embarrassing.

If we could get a Terrence Ross or Cam Reddish  for Smart, I'd drive him to the airport!

Obviously I want the best return possible but does anyone else want completely out of his contract for expirings if that was best we could get or would you keep him?

I'm not sure many teams will want Smart. The league has become so three point shooting centric ... and Smart is paid so much money. He is no longer a younger player in the league but instead at what is usually a player's peak.

I'm not sure Smart is a player that will bring back much value at this point. I believe we'll need quite a bit of luck to get more back than a late first round pick (and expirings).

I think smart had neutral value.  He’s entrenched here but go somewhere else, and that team won’t be committed to even playing him.  It feels 50-50 that he might completely disappear.

So I don’t think trading that guy is going to bring back anything good.

I wish Malcom Brogdon was a legitimate option but don’t think he’s trade eligible this year. Good player. Solid defender, good shooter, good leader.

I could get behind about 2/3 of those ideas

I have been thinking about Smart for Joe Harris for at least a month now. It makes sense for both teams. I can't wait for Smart to be trade eligible.

Here's a wild idea: How about we don't actively try to trade Smart because he's one of our best players?

Terrence Ross? Is this for real? :o Just because he had a good shooting night against us, it doesn't mean he's a good player. All the advanced stats suggest he's a net negative. Do yourself a favour and check out his shooting efficiency. He's shooting 30.2% from 3 this season. His eFG% the last couple of seasons is 47.6% and 48.5% respectively. Mind you, he's supposed to be a shooter. I bet the Magic would be happy to dump him for a second rounder. Personally speaking, I consider him a negative asset. I wouldn't even offer a second rounder for him.

Him being one of their “best” players is literally the problem. He literally should be your 6th best player, not your third.

Yeah, Smart is easily a top 3 impact player for our team…maybe top 2. I’m not completely against the idea of trading him in a lopsided deal in our favor, but I hardly want to dump him.

What are you talking about.  We suck with him,  did it occur to you we could improve by trading one of the most embarrassing shooters in NBA history?
