Simple question. Should the Celtics be sellers and try to collect assets for the future or should they be buyers and look for immediate improvement? Or should they make no moves and just give the coach time to work things out?

Sellers, but not major ones.  Mostly Schröder, maybe Al (although I love Al) if someone were willing to give us small value and expiring contracts for him.

Not saying we shouldn’t make major changes, but I think that is better done in the off-season.  Getting under the tax, picking up some smaller assets, and maybe moving a little guaranteed money will set us up better for the summer.

Team is a mess right now.. Tatum be only player that in untouchable..Need a legit BIG, and tired of all TimeLord gotta be a beast talk! He okay but be better as a backup…Schroeder is doing okay but doubt he will resign with us..also tired of Romeo & Grant..these 2 are 3rd stringers and not going to get better…need more vets on the bench like Richardson..
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Well, I had so much hope for this team going into the year.  I had them as at least a three seed, based on them being healthier and what they added.  That said, I'm tapping out.  Liquidate the entire fricking roster as far as I'm concerned.  You know what they're missing, it's not talent, it's not leadership, they have NO HEART and SOUL!

Idk man. We could be sellers but is anyone here confident in Udoka or the staff as player developers?

Both.

Buyers -- active in looking for a major addition to the team. A low level star like CJ McCollum to build a Big 4 or a big star like Damian Lillard to make a Big 3.

Sellers -- move the short term fixtures for whatever minor assets we can get. Guys like Schroeder. I'd also be open to moving disappointing prospects like Romeo or role players of questionable fit like Smart. The assets they bring back can then be used for a star acquisition.

In terms of changing the level of talent on this roster by selling players for future assets of dumping assets to upgrade talent I think BS needs to tow the line and just look to consolidate talent/create a different roster dynamic. I am ok with trading this years pick as long as its lotto protected and the player the Cs get is signed past this season. Adding a non top 10 rookie next year is not likely to help the Tatum/Brown timeline.

Only give up picks for stars!

We need stars. Not more role players.

This is true but it’s on BS to know the market this off-season, if no logical trade targets are out there then I’m fine with using the pick for a multi-season incremental improvement

This.  If a team doesn’t have drive and leadership then it’s time to blow it up and bring in some players that show up.

I think you need another option: it's both.

The Cs shouldn't be giving up (selling), or going "all in" (buying) -- they need to trade players and assets to improve the make up of this team.

They need to trade wings, potentially Horford, and picks as needed to get a legit 1 and / or 4.

We should sell Schroder and Richardson.  Not because I think we can get decent assets for them, I don't. Because it will clear roster space for our younger guys to play, increase development and asset value, and also help us secure more ping pong balls.  This team is better off not going to the play in, as it has no chance of advancing in playoffs.

Agree with this. Play the young guys and develop them and get a lotto pick.
