How long before players turn on Ime? The team looks awful, a lot of guys are being miss-used and/or benched, and he keeps throwing the team under the bus after each loss.

Yup….and I hope Nia dumps him too.

If he’s a blamer here, he’s gotta be a blamer with her.

Dump Ime, Nia! You’re too good for him!

Honestly, I liked the Ime hiring. Thought he had what it took, and checked a lot of the boxes.

But my God is he completely unfit to manage an NBA offense. Completely clueless out there. These fourth quarter woes are inexcusable, and his supposed strength of player relations and keeping his guys motivated has clearly not panned out either.

He should absolutely be on the hot seat. Hell, I - I, of all people - would rather have Brad back at this point. He lost the team and was a pushover, but he at least had legitimate sets to run and an offensive identity outside of finding the mismatch and iso'ing.

I supported the decision also, as did many others I believe.  Someone who learned under Popovich should always be considered - sure there are some duds (such as Brett Brown) but I didn't think Ime would be one of them.  I thought he'd bring a similar style - ball movement and accountability, as well as credibility being a former player.

Personally I could not be less impressed with Ime so far.  He's among the worst coaches in the NBA.

I asked this question before was he ever Pop’s #1 guy?
No.

You know what'd be absolutely SICK?

If we could get Mike D'Antoni in.

Just for a year.

See what he can unlock with this squad.

I know, it was a lucky shot that finally did them in, but that shot was just so "quintessential 2021-22 Boston Celtics." Kinda sums up their season.

Really, most of the second half was bad. It's funny, because I checked at halftime, saw they had a great first half and were up 16, and my first thought was, "Wow, good job."

And my second thought was, "But there's still a whole half to play, and they've had plenty of bad halves this season."

*cue the wah-wah sound effect*

Terrible 3pt defense—we've seen that more than a few times this season. A big blown lead—ditto. And as an aside: Why does Evan Fournier play much better against the Celtics than he ever played for them? 10-of-14 from 3? Oh my goodness that is ridiculous.

Anyhow, even though I've lowered my expectations for this team, they still just leave me shaking my head.

But it's all part of the process, right? 10-game winning streak happening any day now?

So tired of this franchise right now, man.  Players, Ime, Brad, Wyc, all of it.

Pretty much how I feel. Rob is fun to watch at times, but everyone and everything else is just exhausting. Uninspiring. Joyless. I really wish they hadn't won as many games as they have; now they're just gonna be one of those crappy middling teams that has no real chance in the playoffs yet no real chance at a good draft pick. Worst of both worlds.

Just give me one of these old-school coaches. Heck I'd be ecstatic to have Mr. Pringles aka Mike D'Antoni. No more new kids coming in to coach. No more new coaches coming out of college.

Yikes. Who was it that earlier said we’re gonna run Tatum out of town? This kind of stuff coming from him isn’t good.

His body language betrays his disillusion.

I mean is he not allowed to express how or what he truly feels? This team looks/plays like dogcrap. Ime is just pathetic.

Two ECF appearances and fell short. Lots of early playoff exits. Just not a good team both front office and roster. He's prob gonna take his talents elsewhere sooner than later

Not sure what you mean by “lots of early playoff exits.”  Tatum has only been here four years, two times to the conference finals (once all of 17 months ago).

A draw would be nice. Then we would keep the Knicks below us.

We held them to a tie until the last second. Good try.

I don't know. The guy sucked when he had to coach Carmelo in NYC and our two stars have a lot of similarities to Melo. I don't think this is a good roster for D'Antoni.
Before Udoka was hired I was thinking that 2 years of D'Antoni would be awesome for just the reason that Kiorrik mentioned- to unlock the squad.  He seems to be great at creating superstars out of stars.  If the team underachieved in the playoffs for a couple years then make a change and I'd assume the Jays would be closer to their maximum potential for having played for D'Antoni...

But Who makes a great point... D'Antoni has been successful when his best players have been amazing playmakers, which doesn't describe the Jays.  I would still go back and hire him rather than Udoka after watching this season play out, but Who is right on with this post.

That was a tough loss but for me not even close to our worst one of the season.

Fournier was unstoppable -  the shots he was hitting, under the pressure he was facing, was truly a site to be seen. When a guy goes off like that it's deflating to the opposing team. It got to a point where I stopped being angry at the Celtics and just sat down and took in and appreciate what that man was able to do last night.

The game winner was a prayer that goes in maybe 5% of the time. Not to say we wouldn't have lost in OT anyway, because we probably would have.

Either way, it was a tough loss, one that more or less has defined our season perfectly.. but nowhere near the worse loss of the year. That one still goes to the Chicago collapse.

Well at least, hopefully, you will concede that Rob Williams is not the problem with this team. And that he clearly is a better center than Mitchell Robinson.

I felt they started off hot then cooled down so wont complain about scoring. Yet JB with one shot in the 4th is bad and becoming a trend for this team to freeze him out. Got to feel it's Tatum and Ime.

Also the transition defense and reset of the defense was terrible. Just shows lack of focus.

STEP ONE: TRADE DENNIS SCHRODER.

He can’t be on the floor at the end of games, and Ime keeps putting him in. It gives us three non-shooters, which closes driving lanes for the Js, and it pushes Smart out of a position in which he’s good (PG) into one where he’s bad (SG). It weakens our defense. It deprives our younger players of a chance to show whether they can perform at the end of games. And a few have *earned* the chance, it’s not about giving them something as a participation trophy. A few have shown they can shoot, at least in the first three quarters. Let’s see if they can hit big shots at the end of the game!

The only explanation I can come up with is that Ime is afraid that if he benches Schroder he’ll be bad in the locker room

Celtics with an 18 point lead. How will they blow this tonight  :P

Well we found out how  :P

But seriously, even if this team has a 30-point lead they'll find some way to blow it. They held on against Phoenix but that's about it it seems.
