If I’m Wyc, it’s time to stop thinking as a fan and start thinking as a business person. Winning championships are for the fans. I’m sure the Celtics (as an organization) has loftier goals than bringing home a banner.

Now, if I’m PBS, making another change to the coaching staff this early would seem foolish (unless there’s a can’t-miss candidate out there). But it would be on my radar.

The team is also underperforming despite the talent it has. I would put heads together to figure out how to better build around Tatum, as well as the development path we need from JT.

Theis was dumped for cap relief at the trade deadline last season. He was our starting Center at the time. Had started in 37 of his 42 games up until the deadline. He was a perfect fit in our switch-heavy defensive system. We didn't even get a crappy second rounder for him. The #1 priority for Wyc was to duck the tax.

Sure, if you get an asset, but trading Theis, Green, and cash for Kornet and Wagner doesn't make any sense at all from a basketball standpoint.  Theis also signed for a pretty reasonable 4 years, 36 million in the off season as well.

    Right. So why did he start and play so much when we KNEW we weren’t keeping him, NOT in control room when minutes can go to absolutely ANYONE we intend to keep?  Did Danny and Brad both know this ? It makes no sense.
