Here's some holiday fun, yes I'm a bit bored.

With covid protocols rampant, there's clearly a demand for former NBA players who can still play a little bit.  Al Horford (b.1986) and Joe Johnson (b.1981) were part of those competitive Hawks team in 2007-2012.  I restricted the choices to:

1) those no older than Joe (birth-year shown for each).
2) those who played with both Al and Joe on those Hawks teams.

Of course, I have no idea if any of these guys are willing and available.  However, the names are intriguing and I'm anxious to see what conversation gets stimulated.

Jeff Teague was already here and his tank was empty then.

People forget how versatile Smith was for a few years of his prime. He was like a poor man's Lebron. I am also surprised how quickly his game left him. He was such a + athlete, who was relatively skilled. Usually those kind of players don't drop off a cliff, but find a way to contribute in a different role.

FWIW, Josh Smith and Josh Powell (not in this poll) both played in Big-3 league recently.

I remember we almost traded for Josh Smith back in the 2012-2013 season.

I think we would've had something going but a mid-playoff exit that year though.

Lol ..I remember all arguing about to trade or not trade ,  he was really  good a few years at Atlanta, but in the long run I think it was Detroit that paid him his contract and threw him off the team just to be rid of him .   That was a close call for the Celtics , he self destructed really fast.

I can ‘t with good conscious vote for any  , I don’t care for any of them to be Celtics ……may they remain Hawks forever in fans minds.

Okay, I modified the poll for a "none of the above" option.

That said, this was really just a fun poll, but if Josh Smith is in any kind of game shape I would take him over a g-leaguer.
