Thread has seriously taken a "if the team wins, the players won it, if the team loses, it's all Udoka's fault" vibe.

I’m sorry, but the C’s won in spite of Ime tonight. He nearly cost them the game, again. Terrible coaching down the stretch.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

But we would have had no chance without his defensive schemes. Cuts both ways

Disagree. Miami is tough. GS is prob better, but Miami has a couple junkyard dogs that don’t quit. Lowry was better than his stats.

Useless rookie coach can only get his team to the NBA finals in his first season. Clearly not Basketball IQ there.  ;D

Get us a good old fashioned grizzled veteran like a Mark Jackson or Stan 'the man' van Gundy. Proper tried and tested head coach   >:( ;)

I mean the defense wasn’t great tonight. Gave up 96pts and Herro played 7mins. Butler still went nuts and I thought his 3 was going in for sure. it should have never came down to that. The execution end of game was just horrendous.

I’m done venting now. On to the finals!

Wait whaaaattt!

Consider that you might not understand what an NBA coach does. Just consider it. Ime Udoka has been great all year. I was one of the 8 people who voted 'No Way, Love the Guy' - not how I would have phrased it, but it was clear by December how good a coach he is.

You'd think that the breakthrough to the NBA Finals, for God's sake, would earn the fellow at least a benefit of the doubt. And yet posters - even at this late date - are SO SURE they know better.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

We forced 9 consecutive missed field goals in the fourth quarter. That is as clutch as defence can be.

OP wasn't wrong, just posted his thread mid-thought.

Ime has got to go...to the finals

Sup

Literally Ime's first interview.

LITERALLY

His introduction to the franchise.

"Defense" and "assists".

His words.

Thank you Ime.
I think the title wasn’t finished.

“Ime has got to go to the podium to go raise the trophy” is what was obviously meant by all

Gonna make this joke 3 times becuase it's funny each time

96 points is below the average of the last place scoring team in the league this year lol
