Number of participants on game threads has gotten lower.  What's up with that?
This team is very frustrating to watch at times. Can't say I've anxiously been looking forward to coming on here and trashing them - but there are signs of improvement. There are some potentially good games coming up so I'll be on here more.

Good, bad, or indifferent I root for the Cs

Yeah , that’s what I strive for , but it doesn’t always pan out  ;D
There's got to be some redeeming value to watching for me - maybe it's my age - but I have to like the team's style. I just don't have a lot of interest in watching crappy, selfish baskeball. That said, tonight was a fun game to watch. And as I mentioned, there are signs that they're playing more like a team.

watched on delay.  tonight's takeaways:
- Jaylen looked great.
- really solid game from Romeo.
- most of the rest of the team playing real minutes made at least a solid contribution tonight.
- at least we can still beat a really depleted NBA team.  we're missing a number of rotation players but Cleveland had barely anyone from their regular rotation available.

- play of the night was Enes' fast break dunk.  didn't think he could run the court fast enough to ever get ahead of the defense

I've frequented it less for two reasons:

1. I'm watching less Celtics because they are often not fun to watch.
2. I don't like the negativity that piles on when the Celtics are already not fun to watch.

I didn't really notice Rob much tonight. But that box line  is nice.

Langford was solid, Pritch had one excellent defensive possession on Garland and was solid all round.

Jaylen blew some easy passes, but he was red hot so no biggy... For now.

Rob and his box line were great.

Was wild when Tacko was out - watching the Cs get buckets because they were just too big for the other team.

This was a quality, quality win against a good team.

Have to admit I was worried about the 3rd quarter.

If Cleveland wasn't horrible tonight I think C's would have given the lead back.  The long ball and sloppiness when they have a comfortable lead is agonizing.  There is something wrong with the collective mental make up of this team.

Exactly ............. and that flawed mental makeup is the real problem. I was hoping Ime would at least improve that and he may toughen up their discipline as the season continues. But the coach cannot change a person's fundamental character.

On a positive note - wouldn't it be great if we are witnessing the blossoming of a star in Rob Williams ?

I hate to be the grinch here but they started tacko fall because three of their key front court players including very important players like Allen and Mobley were out with Covid. We have had our own injuries/Covid issues so we deserve the break. But this would have been a real bad loss with the Cavs missing arguably two of their three most important players. (Horford and Williams and the rest of our guys out are much lower in the pecking order).

It's getting better I feel, but just not very quickly. Winning games by defense now at least.

Ime in his postgame says that he tells our guys to "not get bored with what made us successful"

I think that's a really, really strong quote. You can tell our guys aren't consistent, and they're keen to take the burden of making "the winning play" upon themselves instead of playing as a team.

Kinda a good way of phrasing it. Trust the playbook. Both on O and D. And don't give up on it.

When his offense is flowing I see as many shades of early Michael Jordan as I did with Kawhi or Kobe.

I posted earlier in this thread that he's a candidate for Most Improved Player.  This is the TL we all hoped for prior to the season.
