No player over 6'9 looks like small ball compared to a good amount of teams.

That's not the point. It's a two big lineup that most people believe can't work in today's game. Timelord has a 7'5" wingspan and Horford has a 7'2" wingspan.

Horford was also among the best Defenders of 7 foot Embiid a couple of years ago.
Want to split it and say undersized double bigs can work?

.It doesn't matter what you call it. Timelord and Horford aren't undersized.  Is Draymond green? Anthony Davis is only 6'9" is je undersized?
For Center yes. If you play any at center they are a small ball center.

Is DeAndre Ayton undersized at center? Because his standing reach is the same as Rob’s.

Until players start rebounding or blocking shots with their heads, their height tells you less than their standing reach. Other factors that matter are weight, leverage, footwork, and skill. Al and Rob just are not undersized.
Until they go against a 6'11 or bigger guy with strength and weight they can't handle. It's why the team has Kanter.

Give up on this one Csfan1984.  Kanter can't guard my grandmother.  The reason we have Kanter is to be our back up, back up, back up center.

It's the reason why he rarely plays.

Interesting that Cleveland is having a lot of early-season success playing three players together who are 6’11” or 7’0”.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

Whos the third Vortex? It's Allen, the rookie and who else

Edit,

Allen
Mobley
Lauri Markkanen

Your right that is interesting.  Lauri good but soft as tissue paper, interesting move playing him at the three. Proves my point.  Size is sweet.

Kanter has played good defense before with no Al he was better than TL on Embiid. And how many Centers are actually really good defenders? We seen a tired Al get iso-ed late and just give up drive after drive. Also seen TL jump at any fake. Let's not act like these guys are Giannis. They are solid defenders but they can look very bad and the space when guys aren't moving the ball is terrible with the double big.
