I know it seems like Harris wouldn't move the needle, but look at how much Grant Williams three point shooting meant to the win versus Milwaukee the other night. If the Jays play complementary basketball and have a dead eye three point shooter they can dish to, it makes all the difference in the world to the efficacy and overall performance on offense. Having that guy to rely on opens up the floor so much and gets everyone more open looks and Lanes to drive into.
If the trade was Smart and Nesmith for Harris, I believe having two guys like Grant and Harris would make a world of difference offensively for this team. Of course, it would force Schröder into a role he might not like, which is ball distribution PG and not scoring PG, but if he can do that, boy would I like to see that offense
Schröder/Brown/Harris/Tatum/Timelord
With Al, Grant, Romeo, Richardson to round out the rotation. Perhaps Brad grabs a good backup PG in another trade.
I don't think those moves move the team into top 4 in the league contention quality, but I think it would move them significantly up the ladder in comparison to where they are now.
