December 15th, the date when we may see how capable is GM Stevens and what does management envision for the current iteration of our roster.

I have alway perceived this team as average and flawed, going back till last season. If I was Stevens I would be willing to take a competitive hit this season, for future roster growth.

IMO the Celtics biggest (expendable) asset in the current trade market is Dennis Schroder. Not just because of this cheap deal, solid form and that the Celtics will struggle to afford his new contract demands, but because of how evenly matched most contenting teams are this season. Picking up Schroder may give some teams an competitive edge and that could net the Celtics a great returning asset.

Trade Ideas

Denver Nuggets: Dennis Schroder

Boston Celtics: Jeff Green, Denver 2022 1st round pick

Jokic is in his prime and without Murray and Porter Jr, they will plummet out of contention. Would Denver be desperate enough to trade for Schroder knowing he may walk next season?

—————————

New Orleans Pelicans: Dennis Schroder

Boston Celtics: Trey Murphy III

New Orleans' offence and 3P% is one of the worst in the league, Schroder would help in those and many other departments for a desperate franchise.

—————————

Minnesota Timberwolves: Dennis Schroder, Enes Kanter

Boston Celtics: Leandro Bolmaro, Jake Layman

The Timberwolves may want to make a push for the play-in-tournament and Schroder gives them more firepower and an experienced ball-handler.

Shouldn't we get something in a trade?
