Smart, on cue, with another awful decision. As soon as we're healthy he goes back to being woeful with his shot selection.

Smart CAN'T be taking the most shots out there. CAN'T!
Would be nice if the coach let him know this common sense!

He’s on pace for eight 3pt attempts. That’s a problem...

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

These bad starts have  been since game one.

This is solely on Udoka.

I agree Smart took maybe 2 bad shots.

He's shooting more than everyone because he has 3 more minutes than the next guy. And has only 1 more shot 2 other players.

He's got 0 turnovers, 3 assists and a steal.

We're currently just not hitting shots. I'm not worried at all, least of all about Smart's play.

Who is Smart guarding?

He doesn't guard at a high level at all anymore. He plays like Rondo did towards the end of his time

I disagree, and looked up some stats;

Literally league leading steals, no. 11 in defensive box +- and defensive win shares.
Rondo was constantly near the lead for steals per game towards the end, which is exactly my point - relying on defensive gambling.

Jokic and Avdija are both in the top 10 in defensive BPM. Sabonis and KAT are both top 17 in defensive win shares. I think his defensive numbers are bolstered by the elite play of Al and Rob more than anything

lol you really don’t like Smart when you credit Al and Robert Williams for his numbers.
You're right, I really really do not like Smart. Him being traded would make for the best Christmas present I could imagine!

Would be great if half our rotation could hit open shots on a consistent basis…

I don't get how in a game where Tatum is shooting terribly, turning it over, we're talking about Smart.

Some real hyper-focusing going on here.

Tatum has credits in the bank.

It's also because Smart, once again, has returned to being a disaster for us more often than not. Lazy defence, taking three point attempts that would give Steph Curry pause, and so on. Also not sure how Smart hasn't been credited for a turnover when he did turn it over on the attempted fancy pass that got swallowed up by Brooklyn.

Smart has done what he always does. A couple of games where he pulls his head in, making everyone think that maybe this time he's figured out what his role should be, only to resume being the worst high-volume shooter in the history of basketball.
