Injuries. Specifically, back injuries.

Why did he have to go Metta on the league.

I know Tatum is going to get the glory for this win, but Smart played nearly a perfect game.

Final numbers: 22pts, 6ast, 8reb, 1stl and only 1 turnover. 9-13 from the field and 1-2 from 3pt. That’s an incredible game for Marcus.

Honorable mention to Richardson. Provided almost all of the bench scoring. Was a +27 for his +/-.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Smart was fantastic. All the Smart haters are very quiet lately, lol.

I tip my hat to Smart but he needs to play like this more often. He only took 2 threes and he kept driving. More of this please.

I have very few issues with Smart outside of his 3pt shooting. If he can take 2 shots from deep each game and 6 from inside the arc, that would be fantastic.

Beating Lebron... and the Lakers. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Injuries. Specifically, back injuries.

I’m sure that’s part of it, but it doesn’t explain how he looks like he’s lost about 40 lbs of muscle since Orlando.

There's a heap of answers right here;

But in short; he used to eat MacDonalds before games, did a crash diet, and can now play with less risk of injury, and more running.

Two of our top 4 players out and Lebron wanting to make a comeback splash and send a personal message to Kanter means this could be a long, long night at the Garden.

He dislikes what Kanter's been saying?
It's all about China. Kanter called out Lebron's silence or something like that.

Then God Bless Enes Kanter - for standing up and telling the truth about brutal dictatorships and about that blowhard Lebron, whose only real agenda has always been his own image.
